Sounds like the bearning and thus pushing the blower to the side. If you put your hand on top of the system while it is running and feel a vibration you need to do something about it. I am not firmiliar with this cpap system, but is there a ramp setting that is causing the initial pressure to be high? If you set a 4 cm as your baseline that is what it should stay at until you are asleep. Gerry

I would do everything in the world to stick with the nasal pillows, what kind of nasal pillow system did he give you? When was the last time you replaced your mask? Have you had your system downloaded lately to see if there is a change in your therapy? Leakage of course would be high, but is it occuring all night? Gerry

As you may know that the ears to connect to your nasal cavity, therefore when you put on your cpap and apply pressure that can make it painful for you to wear the cpap. I had one other client that had ear difficulty with cpap masks and we trialed the Fisher Paykel Oracle mask with him and it worked ...
