Re: I have the best DME

I loved it! I slept so much better since I wasn't having to concentrate on keeping my mouth shut. I woke up Sunday morning (first night with it wasn't the best but the second...WOW) feeling like a new person! Thanks for the encouraging words.... As for the hubby...we had a long talk about it. Now ti...

I have the best DME

My chinstrap has arrived. Someone could have warned me it looks like a jock strap .

My RT that works with the DME is so great. She is very involved in each of her patients care. She came to my work to show me how to use the chinstrap.

Here's hoping it helps!

Re: cpap & hospitals

Yike, Elbysmom. What is encouraging here to you? This is all pretty distressing news to me, and I just don't get it. I think by looking at the smiley at the end of the sentence she was being sarcastic. This is a bit distressing to me as I will be having a gastric lap band in September. Hopefully si...

Re: Screening for OSA before Surgery

I am going to be having surgery in September (bumped it back from June).

My surgeon sent me to the sleep doctor for testing before surgery.

I truly think the Epworth scale should be given by every surgeon to determine if a patient needs screened for OSA.

Re: Hi there....newbie with questions--of course

Thank you for the link! I appreciate the help. I actually do love how I feel when I get a decent amount of time on the machine. I know that this will be worth it. I got 5.5 hours last night. I am very excited. I actually had my hose over my headboard and I am wondering if turning at night might have...

Re: Day 6 Part II: CPAP, Anger, Torture & Waterboarding

Hi Charlie, I am new to this whole thing to and am facing my own struggles. I don't know if what I say will help and I am sure that some here won't agree with what is said. However, I think that it isn't all about attitude. Sometimes, just sometimes, no matter how good your attitude is you are still...

Re: Hi there....newbie with questions--of course

I have filled out my profile earlier. Maybe it takes a while to show up. A full face mask makes me clausterphobic. They tried it on my for my sleep study. Drove me crazy. Someone (on another forum) mentioned that the hybrid might be a good mask for me. I have an appointment with the RT tomorrow and ...
