I was prescribed Nuvigil for daytime sleepyness and it seems to be a wonder drug for me. I am not wired, yet no longer crashing mid afternoon! btw, I found a coupon on their website that gave me the 1st 30 days for FREE (I can afford that) and then a 5 dollar copay after

Re: Best Chinstrap?
my 0.02 cents is the pap-cap. its a little different, but floats my boat, with the big headgear (sort of like a hat) I don't feel the pressure.

how to find the firmware version and run hours on S9
My dme just dropped of a shiny new (I think) S9 autoset. (I notice the 90w power supply is much smaller than one that came with an S9 I got 6 months ago. Where on the clinicians menu (or wherever) can I find both the total run hours and the firmware version?
Thanks

Weaning my self from chin strap - Day 1
If i can teach my grandsons to be toilet trained, I figure I just might be able to train my self to NOT be a mouth breather. Last night was the 1st night, and it didn't suck TOO much. I am trying to remmber to keep tongue at back of top teeth, twice I woke up in the middle of the night with a dry th...

Re: why do I need distilled water?
WOW, I dont know about you guys, but I generally take showers at least 2-3 times a month Besides the water that is splashing around with tiny droplets I am inhaling, there is soap, shampoo and other yuckky stuff and I am still alive! I might have to tell the wife that just for safetys sake I will ha...

Re: why do I need distilled water?
thanks for the response. I do empty and clean my tank each morning and fill it before bed so not much time for anything to grow. I do understand there might be deposits that will be tough to remove from the tank and will be happy to replace the tank every year or two. I am not sure what, if any, hea...

why do I need distilled water?
I know almost all medical devices "require" distilled water and that might even make sense if the water was blown INTO the machine, where the oxides can accumulate and damage the machine, however, we have good water where I live, my S9 humidifer comes apart so its easy to clean it, and frankly, I ha...

Anyone try the "nomask.com" solution
Being a mouth breather, I have found best success using a chin strap and nasal pillows. This "toy" looks appealing. Anyone use it? Feedback pls.

with APAP, what range of pressures seems to work best
I have been titrated to 13. When I set my APAP MIN/MAX pressures, does it make any sense to go more than +/- 2 - 3 cms? I figure 10-16 might be optimum. I would like to hear other peoples experiences with diff. pressures (esp. those who download and analyze the results)
Thanks
