Is it the mask straps themselves causing the irritation or is the silicone causing the irritation where it touches the skin?
You might look at mask strap pads or mask liners.

Re: Written Prescript for Specific Supplies?
Can/will a doctor write a prescript for a specific hose (or any other supply item) that the DME will have to abide by? They can and will but have to be reminded to check the little box that says "dispense as written". They can specify brand and model name for anything and if that little RX box for ...

Re: Help and advice please
Try using the mask and machine while awake and under no pressure at all to go to sleep for as long as it takes for your brain to become best friends with all this new stuff...
Time, patience and practice.
It's a bit weird at first but we do get accustomed to it and it becomes second nature.

Re: HME Mask Help
Humid X is sold in a package with a P10 mask and AirMini travel machine. Yes but I believe that the P10 packaged with the AirMini has a special design to allow for the HumidX thingy to be closer to the nose so that the disc can be effective. I believe it (the packaged P10 with AirMini) has a much s...

>>the Respironics DreamWear pillows mask fits the N30i and P30i quite nicely<< Could you maybe give me the exact name and part number of whatever head gear works nicely? (Inquiring minds want to know...) I think this is the headgear in question. https://www.cpap.com/products/headgear-with-arms-for-...

Re: Change pressure on bpap machine?
If you say so. I know these machines backwards and forwards. If you don't want to believe me then that's fine too. So I say so and with good reason. If you don't know your exact machine model and why you are using it then you probably shouldn't be changing stuff that you don't understand. Post an O...

https://www.apneaboard.com/adjust-cpap-pressure/change-cpap-pressure-settings-adjusting-your-machine-with-a-clinician-setup-manual You don't have a plain bipap/bilevel machine. You have an ASV bilevel machine. Important to know and understand the difference. So.....exactly what settings are you goin...

Re: “Mask needs adjustment”
It means that it is leaking badly and if leaking badly it is entirely possible that your nice low AHI number is meaningless if the leak is so bad that the machine can't sense events properly and correctly.
So it depends on just how bad the leak is as to how much it matters.

Re: Resmed AirCurve 10 VAuto Changed Pressure By Itself
I have an Air curve 11 i just got set up about a month ago. Is it possible to change air pressure on these machines? How do you change air pressure? Mine is 13/17. Way to much pressure. yes, entirely possible. Start a new topic of your own and ask. Or you can look here and request the clinical/prov...

Re: User adjust resmed units
is there a way for users to adjust resmed settings without having to involve an MD every time..? Yes, it's easy to change the settings yourself. You just need to know the secret handshake. https://www.apneaboard.com/adjust-cpap-pressure/change-cpap-pressure-settings-adjusting-your-machine-with-a-cl...

Re: Constant Awaking and Residual unflagged events
Does these unclassified apneas look like centrals to you? they vary in length (10 to 20 secs) Not really IMHO to me anyway.....I see several that have obvious arousal breaths preceding the flagged event and those are not real asleep centrals anyway. Are you waking often still yet? Whatever those fl...

Re: New CPAP user looking for feedback
So, judging from the lack of feedback on the CPAP stuff, I’m guessing that you all don’t see anything obviously wrong that I’m doing or something worth changing? I really prefer to get a bit of history and feel for what is going on and not rely on one single night's report all that much. I don't kn...
