Re: Bleep annual bundle

There has been research and development going on with a next generation Bleep. Like everything else...Covid put a serious dent in everything. Monies, production, experiments, etc. Put everything behind. Other than knowing that the research and development is being done on a revised version.... I hav...

Re: YEA My First Oscar submission

And I use Windows and have never used a Mac. Anyway...while the vertical scale isn't quite what I need....I am fairly confident that the breathing prior to the flagged event doesn't represent asleep breathing. It's just a bit irregular overall. Asleep breathing is VERY rhythmic and even and regular....

Re: YEA My First Oscar submission

Here's what the difference in segment times looks like. You can change the zooming in by using right arrow or left arrow on key board after clicking on whatever timed event you have highlighted. I need to see what the flow rate looks like prior to the first flagged event in that cluster. 2 1/2 minut...

Re: YEA My First Oscar submission

Event timed at 3:25....that's the first CA event of that particular cluster....
that would show the breathing prior to 3:25 and give a hint as to whether or not you were even asleep prior to 3:25.

Re: Buying BIPAP online- travel tips for Bipap machine?

There are no teeny tiny travel machines that are bipap/bilevel machines. None will accomplish what your prescribed settings are. Right now with your 18/13 settings....that's 18 inhale and 13 exhale which means a 5 cm difference and in the bilevel world that is called pressure support. The best/close...

Re: YEA My First Oscar submission

Those all look arousal breathing to me but what I can't see is the flow rate prior to the first flag during that cluster. Also odd.....in one screen shot #27 event is timed at 3:53 (your latest image) and the one I was first looking at the #27 was timed at 3:27......what the heck???? Repeat one more...

Re: YEA My First Oscar submission

Zoomed in too close....that's about a one minute segment and need maybe a 3 to 4 minute or so segment.

Repeat again...highlight event #27 this time. Don't zoom in any closer than 3 to 4 minutes.

Re: YEA My First Oscar submission

No.....don't go worrying about tweaking the pressures. Even if the CAs/centrals were real asleep centrals (which I doubt anyway) more or less pressure won't/can't fix them. I suspect that the bulk of your central clusters are related to awake/arousal breathing...fiddling with the masks or leaks...an...

Re: Exhale Puff Issue

Tape your mouth shut for one night only. Make sure it is solidly taped and that it can't come loose...and doesn't. Then look at your reports to see if the exhale puff index reduces or not...or if any leak numbers change. Even if you are doing some mouth breathing it doesn't always mean that everythi...

Re: AHI displayed on machine vs. a sleep study

Request a copy of that home sleep study results. See exactly what it said. I'll try to get a copy, but I'm curious how that might affect my decision. BTW thanks for the explanation about the difference between the two scores. Well....it depends on what the score actually was and how borderline it m...

Re: AHI displayed on machine vs. a sleep study

Request a copy of that home sleep study results. See exactly what it said. AHI displayed on the machine is the AHI AFTER cpap treated therapy and the Home study AHI is the UNTREATED AHI. Medicare requires a certain number of UNTREATED apnea events to be found on the sleep study before they will pay ...

Re: What graphs/data in OSCAR to show to get advice?

Need a bit of history from you please. Please take the time to answer all of them. 1..Do you take any meds of any kind? If so, what are they? 2..Where do you live?...and at what altitude? 3..Are you actually sleeping very much with the mask and machine on? Or doing a lot of laying awake with mask an...

Re: I got diagnosed with Mild OSA. Watchpat One from Lofta. Is it a good idea to just buy the Airsense 10 and mask from

Should I just use my dad's recalled Philips dreamstation?! It is something to consider trying since you don't seem to want to spend a grand for brand new. You are very borderline diagnostic for OSA. OSA may or may not be the cause of your unwanted symptoms but the ONLY way to know if cpap will help...

Re: YEA My First Oscar submission

Bad night in terms of insomnia monster setting up shop. Lots of false positive/SWJ centrals. I never actually went to sleep until around 01:33. Even had a false positive hyponea (false positive flags can be any event category...not limited to centrals....Palerider had a night with a gazillion false ...
