Re: OSCAR 1.3.0 is released 10/17/2021

Just installed 1.3.
Easy peasy....final step was the alert it gave me that it needed to update my database which means it wanted to pull in the data from version 1.2. Didn't take all that long and no hiccups.

Re: pressure difference with new mask?

My question is this - currently my cpap pressure is set to 9 -12. If I was to venture in trying a nasal mask, would my pressure settings need to be adjusted? No not really any need to adjust anything except mask type setting (and even that isn't the end of the world if you forget). For sure not an ...

Re: Resmed Airsense 11 - Where to buy ??

https://sistemmacpap.com/cpap-machines/auto-set-machines/new-airsense-11-autoset I don't know but 1300 looks better than 1599   Everyone needs to remember that cpap.com will be forced to price the new machine at whatever ResMed says the MSRP is. ResMed price fixes...simple as that. If you ...

Re: DEEP/REM sleep pattern with cpap

OSCAR 1.3 is still Beta and a person can't just go download the Beta version. It's not public yet. You have to be selected as part of the Beta team to get the download and then you will be directed to the download but not long ago Beta testing was pretty much closed to new testers. Public release of...

Re: Respironic Remstar Alarm

Exactly WHICH MODEL machine????
There's been probably well over 3 dozen models with "Remstar" in the model name.
Remstar is generic marketing term from Respironics....tells us absolutely nothing.

Re: Changing BiPAP Settings

Any new meds or change in dosage of old meds? Changing IPAP max isn't a factor (but doesn't hurt to make the change) since you never go anywhere near max anyway. Now changing PS even just a little can make a difference on how things feel when it comes to breathing those breaths and are those breaths...

Re: Airfit P10 Extremely Noisy

One thought about the whistling and I don't know if it will explain away your problem with the whistling even when the machine wasn't hooked up. I have had the whistling with various nasal pillow masks over the years (not just the P10) but it has been extremely rare and the cause was always improper...

Re: Resmed Airsense 10, turn on "events per hour" in report menu?

When would central apnea be deemed a serious problem? Need to average at least 5 centrals per hour consistently night after night and pretty much for the bulk of the night...and they need to be real asleep centrals as well and not awake related. I had a night last month where I simply couldn't fall...

Re: Tips for improvement? Potentially Central Apnea?

Read up on Prozac side effects....google it and look at multiple sources here's one https://www.drugs.com/prozac.html Also google "SSRIs and sleep" and start reading. They are well known to mess with sleep stages particularly deep and REM sleep so that a person doesn't get all the needed percentages...

Re: Tips for improvement? Potentially Central Apnea?

You aren't having enough centrals (even if all those flagged were for sure asleep centrals) to earn the central sleep apnea diagnosis. Go here and watch the videos and take a crash course on identifying arousal/awake centrals from real asleep centrals. http://freecpapadvice.com/sleepyhead-free-softw...

Re: Resmed Airsense 10, turn on "events per hour" in report menu?

Most nights are almost uneventful AHI sub 0.7 etc, but one night which I had the mask on 8 hours (full face), AHI 8.9 eeek. Was mostly all Clear Airway in Oscar, but also a lot of "Cheyne Stokes Respiration" as well. So good to know it helped me that night. Clear Away obstructions I presume would b...

Probably some sort of internal nasal dilator and if you google "internal nasal dilators" you can find some information. As to which brand????? Unknown unless you can get a brand name. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6502076/ https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6502073/ https://...

Re: large leaks -- when to worry

Can you confirm that you have selected nasal pillow type of mask on your machine? I am still scratching my head as to why your baseline leak is a bit high. And I am wondering why no gray blocks of large leak are showing on the leak graph itself. I am using the P10 myself right now because recent han...
