Re: Cooling bed pillows for CPAP

I use (and have used for many years) a buckwheat hull (mixed with some foam bits) and zero cutouts. It's not overly warm I don't think. I used this type of pillow before I was even diagnosed with OSA and put on cpap because it helps my poor old arthritic neck. Pillows are very individualized....they...

Re: Wanted: Infineer Mako DT-3500 Smartcard Reader

I long ago sold mine and I haven't seen one available now in years. The places that used to inventory them now have "out of stock" or "discontinued" messages if they have any mention at all.

So I am zero help. Sorry.

Re: Treating flow limitations not logged by ResMed

I think we have a miscommunication. Perhaps..... but I got the impression that you were afraid to increase the pressure (which is what is need for flow limitations unless nasal congestion is what you are seeing) or use more EPR (if you could but I know you can't with current machine) because you fe...

Re: Mystery solved! ever heard of "palatal prolapse" (new article)?

I’d really appreciate any advice on: You probably should be starting a topic/thread of your own about this particular issue because it is going to get lost in this thread of 4 plus pages and well over a year old. Just copy/paste what you wrote above in a new thread. Then look for forum member Nocib...

Re: OSCAR last night data being shown under previous night

Is that correct? should correct things if you do that. Should be able to even turn off a session (if you have one to spare) without causing a problem but try your experiment tonight if you can. I don't quite understand what you meant by the split session stuff. There used to be (years ago and diffe...

Re: OSCAR last night data being shown under previous night

In my case, the machine date is 14th. I went to bed at 4.00 AM on 14th and all of my data is being shown under 13th. Why isn't the machine and OSCAR date the same? Because to the machine the 14th didn't happen until noon today which is the 14th now since noon has come and gone. It's working like it...

Re: Treating flow limitations not logged by ResMed

It's normal to have an occasional real central apnea. There are what we call sleep transition centrals or sometimes called sleep onset centrals. Seeing them does NOT mean treatment emergent central apnea. It's normal to have a handful of centrals. This might be what you are seeing. At any rate....do...

Re: OSCAR last night data being shown under previous night

Ahhhh.....you have turned off some sessions to clean it up and get one neater image....I couldn't see that on the first report above and obviously I rarely have a need to turn off any sessions because I rarely have more than one session no matter if I am awake or asleep.

Re: Newbie-almost 2 months along, managing ok, (sorta), but CA questions.

I've been under the impression that the machine only senses (and reports) Apneas/events during SLEEP, so I'm a bit confused. These machines can NOT even tell if you are asleep or awake. They have zero way to know if anything it flags is awake/arousal related or sleep related. Where did you get the ...

Re: Treating flow limitations not logged by ResMed

show us a couple of zoomed in screen shots like your others but this time include CA/Central flagged event please.

I personally don't think that those are treatment emergent centrals.....I need proof that they are the real deal before I start worrying about them.

Re: OSCAR last night data being shown under previous night

Weird. My machine is the AirCurve 10 VAuto and it resets at noon as well BUT I just check last month's reports and the calendar date matches exactly with report date. It's not a day late like yours is showing. Of course I don't sleep past noon.....ever. Your situation makes me wish we had ResScan fo...

Re: OSCAR last night data being shown under previous night

Check to make sure that your machine's date is set correctly.

Odd....your machine's report actually shows July 14 as the date. It's just the calendar date that seems off.

Re: Persistent fatigue, CA

Your flow limitation graph is fairly active and it appears that when the FLs are more active then that's when the pressure line pretty much maxes out. Not surprising as FLs are one of the data points that will drive pressure up. That's because according to the auto adjusting algorithm those FLs need...

Re: ResMed S9 Autoset + H5i Humidifer for sale *Reduced again

Thank you I realized that soon after my post what mask and hose are you interested in? That hose was for the S9 model machine....is that what you have? I might have one of those S9 climateline hoses and I might have the mask as well....what size do you think you need? Free ....but I would appreciat...
