Re: Switching from F30i full face mask to a nasal mask like the Bleep?

Yes. It is possible. Whether or not you end up needing to do something to stop the mouth breathing depends on just how bad your mouth breathing might be impacting your therapy effectiveness...or your sleep quality. I know I mouth breathe a little...never for really all that long and rarely deep into...

Re: Flow Limitations - Min Pressure Too Low?

See my newly posted review of the N30...I talk a little bit about the P10. The Bleep doesn't have prongs. Nothing at all goes inside the nostril The P10 has little soft inner cones that barely go inside the nostril BUT THEY SHOULDN'T be touching anything inside the nostrils at all. If they do...wron...

Re: My ResMed AirFit N30 review..others feel free to join in

Here's a night with some mask movement leaking going on. Not horrible. I had worse nights but none of it really ever disturbed my sleep so I don't really care. Some even went into large leak territory for a brief time...again since they didn't disturb my sleep I shrug my shoulders and move on. Sleep...

My ResMed AirFit N30 review..others feel free to join in

So this is my first real "new" mask trial since I tried the Bleep back in 2019. At least any extensive trial anyway. Briefly tried the N30i and P30i and they were so noisy with the Darth Vadar sounds that I didn't even try to sleep with them. When the N30 was released my interest perked up because i...

Re: Resvent ibreeze

Oh...another thought...100 bucks more??? It should be 100 bucks (or more) less because those Chinese knockoffs have always cost less. Insurance pays the same amount no matter what brand....guess who makes more money when the wholesale cost is less????? That's one of the reasons DMEs push these cheap...

Re: Resvent ibreeze

This has been brought up here before and not long ago. The general consensus was to wait for a ResMed. It's a cheap Chinese knock off for one thing...and another not OSCAR compatible and no way to monitor detailed data if someone should need or want to. ResMed machines don't normally up and die at t...

Re: Flow Limitations - Min Pressure Too Low?

6 to 8.5 in six minutes I guess speed is relative...2 1/2 cm in 6 minutes isn't fast at all. There are machines that will go up 10 cm within ONE breath. Now that is fast. I like the idea of the Bleep, except that I expect the prongs would irritate my nostrils (very sensitive) Nothing goes inside yo...

Re: zonker therapy thread redux: vauto is coming

So what you do is translate the Autoset settings into bilevel settings. With the minimum set to 18.4 and using EPR set to 2 that means during inhale (IPAP) you are getting 18.4 cm and on exhale (EPAP) you are dropping to 16.4 cm because of the 2 cm drop that EPR brings. You won't have an EPR setting...

Re: Flow Limitations - Min Pressure Too Low?

Anytime the pressure went up to more than 9, it kept waking me I see this statement all the time. People blame the pressure increase for the wake up and they never consider that the reason the pressure went up (airway flow reduction from some sort of apnea event) might actually be the cause of the ...

Re: DoeS OSCAR have data that says when you wake up in the night?

Or you could wear a fitness monitor. Some claim to record sleep stages, based entirely by movements of your ARM. The data is interesting, if not necessarily trustworthy. Interesting but not always accurate so I also take it with a grain of salt. When my Fitbit told me I was in REM sleep and I knew ...

Re: DoeS OSCAR have data that says when you wake up in the night?

I had a good example of awake/arousal breathing flow rate last night and also a couple of flagged events. I consider these flagged events false positives and not real asleep events and if I were manually counting the AHI I would not include them. Also good proof that we can have false positives for ...

Re: DoeS OSCAR have data that says when you wake up in the night?

Not a specific marker because OSCAR can only report the data that the machines report or gather and the machines can't/don't measure sleep status because they only measure air flow. These machines really don't have a clue if we are asleep or not. But with time and experience people can use the flow ...
