Re: User adjust resmed units

is there a way for users to adjust resmed settings without having to involve an MD every time..? Yes, it's easy to change the settings yourself. You just need to know the secret handshake. https://www.apneaboard.com/adjust-cpap-pressure/change-cpap-pressure-settings-adjusting-your-machine-with-a-cl...

Re: Constant Awaking and Residual unflagged events

Does these unclassified apneas look like centrals to you? they vary in length (10 to 20 secs) Not really IMHO to me anyway.....I see several that have obvious arousal breaths preceding the flagged event and those are not real asleep centrals anyway. Are you waking often still yet? Whatever those fl...

Re: New CPAP user looking for feedback

So, judging from the lack of feedback on the CPAP stuff, I’m guessing that you all don’t see anything obviously wrong that I’m doing or something worth changing? I really prefer to get a bit of history and feel for what is going on and not rely on one single night's report all that much. I don't kn...

Re: New CPAP user looking for feedback

How many hours of actual sleep are you getting?

Do you wake frequently during the night?

Do you take any medications of any kind? If so, what? even OTC.

Re: Already at a Breaking Point with Leaky Masks...haven't slept in 2.5 weeks

Something I use to prevent leaks from blowing air to my face is a liner. The liner I use is difficult to install and will not stay attached at the top but still works. Even though it is loose (glue tabs will not stick to silicone) the strap pressure of the headgear keeps the liner in place. I use S...

Everything's too small to read!
I can see most of it just fine but if I need the print larger all I have to do is open the image in a new window (right click mouse over the image will give you that menu option) and then you can magnify the image and/or text.

Can you not do that?

Re: Constant Awaking and Residual unflagged events

Are you aware that all the Central apneas, obstructive apneas and hyponeas MUST have a duration of at least 10 seconds to earn a flag. Looks to me like the bulk of what you shared was just arousal breathing or Sleep/Wake/Junk (SWJ) from not being sound asleep but it doesn't show you why you aren't a...

Re: Any feedback on adjustments would be awesome

I don't see anything that points to any urgent need to increase the maximum pressure. Unless you are seeing evidence of your hitting the max and staying there for a prolonged length of time on different reports from this one you shared.....the machine doesn't seem to want or need to go higher. Looks...

Re: Constant Arousals - ASV Troubleshooting

you can manipulate the pressure support settings. You can set a fixed PS if you wish by setting the minimum and maximum PS to the same number. Unfortunately with the ResMed ASV the min PS and max PS cannot be the same. Max PS must at least be 5 cm higher than min PS. Thanks for reminding me. I had ...

Re: How to avoid accidentally killing myself? Modified Resmed N20 nasal mask

Have you seen this mask? The ResMed AirFit N30 nasal cradle mask. https://www.cpap.com/products/resmed-airfit-n30-nasal-cpap-mask-with-headgear?_pos=7&_fid=81227488b&_ss=c It's a little different but it doesn't have the venting issues the N20 (or similar masks) will have because it has a special des...

Re: Constant Arousals - ASV Troubleshooting

FWIW folks the FL graph on the ASV report are grossly exaggerated when using ASV mode or auto ASV mode. It's well known that they make huge mountains out of tiny mole hills. The FL graph from the older trial with the APAP machine is much calmer and more in line with what we would expect to see. My s...

Re: Need nasal pillows recommendations

I don't know where you read the reviews about the P30i, but it is one of the best selling (and favorite) masks out there. Order a fit-pack and try it. I've been using one for years, and it's been great. I know it means nothing but I hated that mask so bad that I didn't even try to sleep with it. :l...
