Re: Buying a Full Face Mask...

Rooster if your reply about newbies and denial was aimed at me then I will just state that not everyone wants to give up after a week of treatment and go to a FF mask. Do I "need" a FF mask? I don't think so. I seemed to have conquered my issues and now having good stats and feeling much better. It ...

Re: First Post: Rx & APAP Question

I agree, no way on the "Plus" unit. It is compliance only and will not give you any capabilities to use the software. Sent you a PM about pricing at cpap.com You need to read CPAP.com prescription requirements. Could someone please clarify but wouldn't this prescription enable a person to purchase e...

Re: ResMed VPAP Machine Family Tree

However, AVAPS machines are not at all inexpensive: https://www.cpap.com/productpage-bundle/ ... undle.html Quoted prices are supposedly cheaper than those manufacturer-imposed advertised prices. Unfortunately I have no clue how much cheaper. Little less than half of the required advertised price. ...

Re: How Important Has CpapTalk.Com Become In Your Life

I stumbled on this site while a monkey fest was going on. I saw a great group of intelligent, helpful people who had a great sense of humor. Can't go wrong with a combination like that. Nice warm and friendly place to share ups and downs with. I learn something new every day and most often get a chu...

Re: Fun with Oximeter! (home sleep study)

I don't under stand why people will post an item for sale and not state the price. They set a reserve so they know darn well what they want for the item, but they expect people to guess. I wonder how many people bail out just a dollar or two under the reserve? The only conclusion I can come to is ....

Re: Another newbie with "issues"!

I use Vista Home Premium (32 bit). I did get a couple of "publisher not verified" messages which are easily ignored. Not sure if XP would flag the same thing or not. Very simple software to use.

BTW I sent you a PM.

You know I have noticed on my forum that the spammers have become sneakier. They will post in a thread and make a comment that includes some information (that is informative) that they obviously gleaned from the web, then they try to sneak their spam websites in their signatures. Trying to get by my...

Re: Buying a Full Face Mask...

Why would you try taping your mouth if you do not mouth breathe? Probably for the same reason I tried taping. To see if it affected the leak ratio at all. I would have sworn I wasn't a mouth breather and I probably am not full fledged but there was a significant improvement in leak ratio when I did...

To Craft (uncrafty), this editor does not appear to be a true WYSIWYG editor in the sense that I am used to anyway.

Use the preview function before submitting post and you will then see what you will actually get.

Re: WAY OT but great for a laugh ENJOY!

My husband swears he has permanent burn scars on his back from my hot flashes.

Good story, I enjoyed it. At least we know one man who does truly understand just a bit what the hormone rages can do.

Re: Another newbie with "issues"!

I boosted my minimum to 10 and my 90% stays in the 11-12 range. I had the advantage of seeing (using the software) that at 8 and 9 cm I was throwing enough apnea events to affect the way I felt the next day. My averages were in the 5-7 AHI range but I felt like total crap the next day and had my usu...

Re: Buying a Full Face Mask...

Also do you know if you have EPR mode turned on on your machine? EPR offers exhalation relief beyond ramping so if it isn't turned on, you might want to consider turning it on. Three settings. 1,2, and 3 with 3 being the most relief.

Re: Cflex setting of 1, 2 or 3???

You have it correct. C Flex 3 is supposed to offer a little more relief but like you I find that 1 suits my particular breathing pattern better. Others find that having it turned off is even better. All comes down to what make it easier for you to be comfortable and get good treatment.

Re: Buying a Full Face Mask...

Here is what happened when I tried the nasal mask at titration. I found that after 15 or 20 minutes I simply could not pass any air through my nose. I got congested to the point it was like someone had stuck cotton up my nose. I called a halt to things, pulled it off and immediately began to move ai...

Re: Another newbie with "issues"!

Your machine is exactly what I use.
Couple of questions. What is your leak rate average showing?
How do you feel?
I see Hawthorne has posted how to modify your averages.
