Re: why first half of night no apnea, second half full of apneas
I have exactly the same thing experience. Your download could be mine. I asked my sleep doc about it at our last appointment and she said that having more events in the second half was a normal occurrence. Her explanation was that there is more REM sleep in the second part of the night and events ar...

Re: Outraged, Hurt, and a Little Scared!
What a bad day. You came to the right place. The people here are caring and helpful. No one likes the idea of the sleep study. I thought I would not sleep and I did not sleep much at all. But, I slept enough to see that something was going on. Regarding your question about medications. Call the slee...

Re: Dizzy
I had a similar problem. I still fight it some. This may be your sinuses. Try sinus irrigation to relieve any fluids behind your ears. Also, you may want to play with your humidification. Some find more humidity increases sinus swelling, some find less works better.
Keep at it!

I found the surgical tape too hard on my skin. Try the gentle paper tape. It might be easier on the skin.
Good luck!

Here is a list of the replacement parts for the swift lt from cpap.com. https://www.cpap.com/productpage-replaceparts/resmed-mirage-swift-lt-nasal-plllow-system.html It does not look like what you need is on the list. You might also be able to use duct tape to make it work until August. Good luck! C...

Re: Newbie with questions
Welcome Sleepy Smiley!
DME stands for Durable Medical Equipment. It is the name for the businesses that provide medical equipment (your cpap stuff).
I don't know about your other questions. Perhaps one of the experienced folks on the board will come along and answer.
Good luck!

Re: mouth taping
What kind of tape are you using? Is the rash where the tape was? If it is a contact rash, the type of tape may make a difference. Just change. Another way to make the tape less damaging to your skin is to put milk of magnesia on your skin and let it dry before applying the tape. It makes the tape co...

Re: I'm Tired...
Welcome Bill, You have come to the right place. (I love your screen name!) The cpap sleep study showed just 2 'events' per hour so I assume I'm near that at home too. Don't assume anything. Check your data. As cflame1 suggests, if you have listed the correct CPAP you have a data capable machine. Whe...

Nasonex and nasal irrigation
Hi, I know a lot of you use these products to help clear out the nasal passages. How soon after the nasal irrigation should I use the Nasonex? Do you use the Nasonex right after the irrigation or at different times of the day. I should have asked the doctor, but I did not. She said to use both, but ...

I use the gentle paper tape. It works well and will reseal when I pull it loose from the side to drink from a straw.

Pretty scary indeed! I don't have any ideas, but you did the right thing scheduling an appointment with the ENT! Perhaps someone else here has experienced something similar.
Good luck!
