Re: Do errors damage the credibility of the writer

I must say that I don't judge people because I can't spell good myself either. I have to carry a dictionary around with me in order to make sure that I'm spelling correctly. I call my sister to ask her all the time how to spell something. She is a walking, talking dictionary. Grammar is a big pet pe...

Re: Confused....Was it an apnea episode or something else...

Julie, I wish it was a blanket issue. My kids are blanket and bed hogs. My son ends up with his blanket, my daughter and her dog with hers and mine. I had to learn to wrap my arms around my pillow and not let go or they ended up with my pillow too. I sleep with sweats on in order to prevent from wak...

Re: Confused....Was it an apnea episode or something else...

That would help with my son too. Where do I get one? My son has chronic lung issues. It would save in ER visits. I will save the money up for it. Thanks.

Re: Confused....Was it an apnea episode or something else...

Yep, unfortunatly I did. I told my PCP and he said it was nightmares since I told him it was related to me having a dream of drowning. It was very scary. I even did this during my pregnancy and now I wonder if lack of oxygen (during pg) is the cause of some of my babies health problems. I switched P...

So it's another M series

Well, I got another M series but it's the M pro. I don't know the difference between the machines but then again I've only been doing this for a month now. About a year ago I didn't even know what OSA was until I started to google my symptoms. About a month ago I thought all CPAP's were the same. Oh...

Re: Confused....Was it an apnea episode or something else...

LOL! Was your husband holding a pillow and looking guilty? Was your husband holding a pillow and looking guilty? If my ex was still around it would be the other way around. Very funny. I don't find this a laughing matter. My DME finally got back to me and I'm getting a new machine tonight after figh...

Re: OT: Weightloss Surgery- contemplating it

I'm actually going through the process for the surgery now. I had my psych eval, went to the dietician, and so forth. My insurance requires a psych eval to make sure that there are no under-lying conditions that would make the surgery fail. If there is then they require you to treat that condition f...

Confused....Was it an apnea episode or something else...

So, I woke up at 3 this morning feeling like I couldn't breathe. I shot straight up out of bed and fought with the mask until I realized what it was. I calmed down and laid back down but it took me a while to go back to sleep. It felt just like it did before I got the CPAP. I'm turning the card into...

Re: Mouth gets dry as a bone

I don't have a solution for you but I'm right there with you. I turn the humidity up to the highest and my mouth is still dry as a bone but yet my nose is running to my ankles. Go figure. I know I sleep with my mouth open but I cannot use a chin strap or tape my mouth. I can't stand it. I just got u...

Think I found a solution

So, I think I finally found a routine that will work for not only me but my children. I have taught my children how to turn on the CPAP if mommy "forgets". They love doing it. We start the night 30 min earlier than we were. They get to play in the tub for 20 min longer than what they used to. I let ...

Re: Was this dead dude a CPAP user?

Oops missed that one about it being austrailian. Anyway regardless of where they are that just proves that the jail system isn't any better anywhere else. They all have their problems.

Re: Was this dead dude a CPAP user?

I know this is going to sound cold and unkind but I think at least that's one less murder we have to worry about our tax dollars paying for. This is just another story about how "wonderful" our jails are. Just like the 2 inmates that just walked out of the arkansas prision during a guard exchange.

Re: Can Cigarette Smoke Damage BPAP/Hurt Therapy?

I don't know if the smoke can damage the machine or not but I do know that it can hurt you even though she is smoking outside. I don't know how much you smoked or didn't smoke but I quit cold turkey in Oct of '04. I woke up one morning lit a cig. and took a couple drags gave it to my ex and told him...

Flying

I know this was asked below but I'm flying to florida in about 3 weeks. What should I know before hand about flying with CPAP. Since I will be flying with 3 young children total I have NO intentions on sleeping. I know not to check my CPAP but will I need a note from Dr or anything? I've flown with ...
