Re: Increased heart rate when using CPAP
DreamDiver, you were correct, I lowered my C-flex from 3 to 1 and have had no problems with increased heart rate. Sleeping better too! Question: is there anyway to completely shut-off the C-flex on my machine? Thanks again!

Increased heart rate when using CPAP
Hello, I've been using my CPAP machine for about 2 years now. Although it has helped my snoring, I've had very little change in feeling fatigued during the day. This may be due to the fact that I have RLS and periodic limb movements during sleeping hours (found during sleep study). Lately, I've noti...

Re: Fast Heart rate
Thanks for all the responses. I will check with my doctor, I've got an appointment coming up. I've got a host of aliments that could be contributing to this.

Fast Heart rate
Is there a setting that needs to be changed on my CPAP machine if I'm waking up with an increased heart rate? I haven't checked it yet, but it is considerably faster. Thanks.

Dry Mouth
I'm using a full face mask and I've got a humidifier on my unit, but I still wake up occasionally with a very dry mouth any suggestions?

Re: 3 months in and still exhausted
I have the manual that came with it but not a Clinician's manual. I can set the ramp to 7 or 8. How do you change the pressure settings on my CPAP machine?

Re: 3 months in and still exhausted
Hi Julie, I tried the hose trick before, may be I need a different rig. I think my setting was 9 and I do use the ramp up feature. Can I actually change that pressure setting myself? Why would the ramp up matter?

3 months in and still exhausted
It's been around 3 months using CPAP and I'm very frustrated. I have not had a decent night sleep yet. I'm always tossing and turning wrapping the hose around my neck. Actually ripping the house off the mask during sleep. Not only was I dx with sleep apnea, I was dx with periodic limb movements as w...

Waking up and taking off mask
I'm trying to understand why I keep removing mask and falling back to sleep without it. What should I be looking for? Humidifier set too high? Temperature too high? Wrong mask? How do you really know?

C-Flex on setting 1
Change setting on the c-flex to 1 and I slept better last night. Does this mean I'm getting used to the pressure and do not need the assistance as much on exhaling?

CPAP machine noise
I had to use a fan the other night because it was warm, I noticed that the fan drowned out the CPAP machine noise and I slept better. I don't think it's the noise so much that may be keeping me up but rather anticipating the timing of air pressure. In other words, I feel I must breathe in time with ...
