Re: Update - not using CPAP
Thx for all the suggestions, This is my fourth mask to wear (tried mouth nose, disliked that, pillows were a bit better and then this one (elephant looking that has a pillow or a nose mask). I don't like wearing the mask at all as the hose goes between my eyes (like an elephant) just cannot recall i...

Update - not using CPAP
I have had a lot of personal issues go on lately that have kept me busy and worried. I also have gained about 5 more pounds, when I really need to lose at least 70 lbs. I got my CPAP machine in April this year. I used it OK for a few weeks, but had problems staying asleep with it. I would also take ...

Re: Proud of myself....
Thank you, Elbysmom2004 and kebsa, for telling your personal and very difficult stories. Your problems sound much more severe than what I am going through, but I do appreciate your sharing what you had to do to change your lives. Elbysmom2004, congrats on your quick progress! - I have at least 70 lb...

Re: Normal to be angry when newly diagnosed?
I was never and have not been angry; just depressed. Me, too. I figured I was depressed for a long time because of myself, not my health condition. A close friend of mine from college back in 2001 was diagnosed with OSA. She was one of those extreme cases who would fell asleep in her car while comm...

Re: 6-foot-hose subdomain?
OP: do you mean this? http://6-foot-hose.cpaptalk.com/ That just appears to be another virtual for this cpaptalk.com website. When I checked the website URL you typed in your original post: (6-foot-hose-cpaptalk.com) it does not exist, nor was it purchased -checked WHOIS for domains. I think there c...

Re: Newbie to the forum.
Hi Chris, I am only on week 3 now, but after less than a week I switched from full fask mask to the pillow. I like the pillow mask much better now (more comfortable). I still have good and bad days, but at least have a few restful days already is a small improvement over what I was going thru withou...

Re: This IS scary
I believe I am as severe as he is when I do not use my CPAP. The long pauses in between breath are hard to watch, I quit watching after about 3 minutes. At least the video makes some viewers aware who do not know what OSA is.

Re: How Important Has CpapTalk.Com Become In Your Life
I like it here, just found this forum a day ago. Glad it is "busy" here most times, so I hope to learn a lot more and get better as time permits. I was only diagnosed 2 months ago, and I have had my CPAP for just a few weeks now, still adjusting.
