Re: Can't get Encore 2.2.14.0 to start
Well maybe it will be more compatible with Win7 than 1.8 was. Back in the day I had to write a tutorial on how to get it to install Alas, I am with the M-series Auto for another 3 years.. I got mine in early 2009 from the sleep doc via insurance, and they came out with PR one later that year I think...

Re: Encore Pro smartcard reader issues, works once per USB port
Hi Den, I'm plugged straight into my machine.. no hubs. The problem is the light never does turn green and if I try to download the data it just says it can't find the smartcard reader. If I move to a new port, the light goes green as soon as I insert the card and then it's able to download the data...

Re: How to get software for Remstar Pro CPAP machine
Is the true test of "legitimacy" that the software has to be "PURCHASED"? I noticed you said you purchased the software "second hand" from the original user. If the original user is STILL using it (still installed on his/her computer.....maybe they made a copy to keep and then sold you the original...

Re: How to get software for Remstar Pro CPAP machine
My god you people sure know how to flame a thread into oblivion. Encore Pro (despite the fact that it's not currently sold to end users) is still sold and is in fact copyrighted. See the picture below. Copyrighted. This pic is a from a legit purchase (albeit the older release) that I was able to tra...

Encore Pro smartcard reader issues, works once per USB port
I swear I've seen a post describing this issue, but can't seem to find it with search function. I have Encore Pro and Infineer/Mako DT3500 USB smartcard reader. The issue is that the device only seems to work once per USB port, basically when it installs the driver for that port. So I've got about 8...

Re: M Whisper Cap Question
I used an M-Series auto without the whisper cap for about a month, and then purchased one... It didn't seem to affect any of the readings, they were consistent before and after the cap was put on. The cap DOES reduce some of the noise, but only a few db's.. so is that worth $15 bucks? Well.. my wife...

Re: Encore Pro Analyzer for 64bit Windows
Same here, was initially unable to get it to run under Vista x64 Ultimate, Encore Pro 1.8.49 "A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Ser...

Re: Cheapest place to get a resperonics SmartCard Reader?
http://www.securetech-corp.com/mako_dt.html $49 plus shipping I do not believe you'll be able to use flex dollars on the standalone reader.. it's not a medical device as such, so even though you'd ultimately be using it for medical purposes it's really classified as a security device or just a prop...

Need help interpreting Encore Pro reports...
Ok so please forgive my ignorance here, I would like a second (or third) set of eyes on some preliminary reports I'm getting out of Encore Pro. This is my third day on the M-Series Auto w/ AFlex. My prescribed pressure is 8-15, a-flex set at 3, and no ramp is used. These sessions are when I slept a ...

Re: Where do you get updates for Encore Pro?
Yeah I've noticed that Respironics seems very much intent on keeping as much information away from the hands of the end user as possible. I assume the same is true of any firmware updates available for the CPAP machines themselves. So I think I have Encore Pro 1.8.0.49 and it's a legitimate copy, th...

Where do you get updates for Encore Pro?
I received Encore Pro 1.8i and card reader, purchased online from a CPAP retailer.. I believe it's the latest version.. but I was curious. Since Respironics doesn't seem to like end users having Encore Pro, how do I go about getting updates for the program? There isn't really any info in any of the ...

Re: Will Windows 7 solve the EP/Vista issues?
What are the EP/Vista issues you speak of? If it's to do with installation, I've seen EP work on Vista 32/64 and Windows 7 Beta 32/64. I played with an illegit copy of it when I first learned I was getting a Respironics machine, to see if it would install/work before I even considered plunking down ...

Re: Oximeter: Cost vrs Benefit
Not sure how good it is, but I found one here for $139 http://www.facelake.com/cms50e.html
It has a wireless option (+$40) but otherwise is just USB, and comes with the software that is needed to generate the reports..

Re: A little frustrated with treatment so far :(
I did notice that most of the people on here have auto cpap or bipap machines.. relatively few seem to have straight cpap.. Problem for me is that I've read enough to know that auto cpap isn't a magic bullet.. it does give you some options and can make your therapy better, but it can also make some ...
