Re: F & P Full Face Models
I believe the Forma is the newest Full Face from F & P followed by the 432 and 431. Is this correct? Assuming the Forma and 432 are very similar, just the fact that the Forma has 2 cushions included is important. I started with a Medium Quattro and then tried the Large and neither were that good. I ...

F & P Full Face Models
I was planning to order the F & P HC 432 FF Mask because the Quattro model in 2 sizes didn't work for me. My DME offered me an F & P Forma Full Face which they claim is very similar to the 432. They said the Forma is a newer model, comes with 2 size cushions and has added comfort and stability in th...

Comfort Gel Nasal Re fit
Hi
I adjusted a Comfortgel Nasal mask via boiling water and re-shaping the mask.
It seems to have helped a bit.
Does anyone know if you can re-shape a second time with the boiling water?

Re: Pressure Question
I am using APAP set at 15-18cmH20 with A Flex at 2. The pressure I used was the average pressure from the Encore Pro data. There was a minimal difference in the average pressure when using either mask.
Once I settle on a mask, I will probably attempt to use CPAP mode.

Pressure Question
Hi, This may sound like a fundamental question but: Does the Fisher & Paykel have less leaks than the nasal Comfortgel in my scenario. F & P 407 exhaust flow rate from technical specification table; 46.5 L/Min at pressure of 16cmH20. My average leak rate is 48 with an AHI of 3.0 Comfortgel Nasal - o...

Re: Smart Card Use With 2 Machines
Good question! I am sure more experienced CPAP user with Encore Pro have encountered this issue.

Re: Mask sizing guide at cpap.com?
I was sized for an Activa Standard Medium and changed to an Activa LT large which works OK. Next I was sized for a medium Comfortgel Nasal which is more comfortable for me. In my quest for the best nasal mask I tried the Fisher & Paykel 407 (one size fits most) which is the ideal mask for me. It's t...

Re: Smart Card Use With 2 Machines
I guess the card doesn't need to distinguish the data between either machine. Since I am the only one using the CPAP it wouldn't matter if both machines provide data.
I just wanted to make sure that I wouldn't be altering the card or screwing up either the machine or the data.
Thanks.

Smart Card Use With 2 Machines
Hi, I have an M Series Auto with A & C Flex. I monitor my results daily with Enocore Pro or Viewer. I just purchased the same model Machine for a back-up/travel. I was actually looking for a smaller or lesser model for a back up but the deal on this device was exceptional. The one thing the new mach...

Re: Leak Rate Observations Analysis & Questions
Dreamstalker, Thanks for your input. The data I provided from my machine was via the Encore software. I download and evaluate daily. I just was curious about the discrepancy in leak rates published by the manufacturer correlating with my data extracted from the software. I guess I am looking for con...

Leak Rate Observations Analysis & Questions
I have been comparing data between 3 nasal masks and wonder if my conclusions are accurate: Variables: Avg pressure = 16.0; Chin strap Data checked daily on Encore VIewer Leak rate data from manufacturer leak rate charts Mask #1 Activa LT According to published leak rate data should be 40 My avg lea...

Re: Finally Some Consistent Results!
Wulfman, I think your suggestion is an excellent idea. I will probably use straight CPAP after I settle on a mask as well as figure out what pressure to select for straight CPAP. My titration study is 13 which is a fair amount lower than the data I have been receiving on the auto cpap. I did slightl...

Finally Some Consistent Results!
Hi I have been on the roller coaster ride experimenting with masks, chinstraps, stockings, nipple grease etc.... As I followed the data, the numbers varied a fair amount. The leak averages were 10-20% out of range. However, I must have been mouth breathing or leaking several times during the night. ...

Re: Liberty Mask
Thanks. Glad to hear that the Liberty and Swift lT appear to have similar pillows. I have read many reviews comparing the Liberty & Hybrid and it seems that the Hybrid is slightly favored overall. It's a tough call because I really don't want to have to purchase both. Hopefully I will get it right w...

Liberty Mask
Hi, I have been experimenting with the Activa LT, Swift Mirage II, Swift LT and Comfortgel Nasal and Quattro. I finally found the right fit for the Swift LT but unfortunately my sinuses and allergies have made it difficult to wear all night. I use a chinstrap and believe that I am still mouth breath...
