Re: Resmed Card Reader Skipping days
I don't think you have to copy the data to the card before 12 noon. If you want to read your data from the screen on your ResMed machine, you have to do this before 12 noon, otherwise it will clear itself. I copy data to my card and will get all the data that is new and this can be days worth. I wo...

Resmed Card Reader Skipping days
Anybody know why my Resmed Card Reader is skipping days lately? It will give me reports on two days, skip one, record one day, then skip three, etc. I have 5 months of data downloaded and I thought it could hold a year. I got a new card from CPAP.com but didn't replace the card reader. So, is it the...

Re: Breathing Problems
a vicious cycle between Apnea, Reflux, Asthma, Sinus Problems, etc. Some of that has decreased dramatically for me since I went on cpap. My asthma is now back where it was 15 years ago. I don't have problems with reflux at night anymore. I get up and I don't have to spend 30 minutes coughing and th...

Re: POLL: What is your TYPICAL nightly AHI?
Using Encore Pro Analyzer I have determined that, on a Respironics M-series Auto, my HI is higher than my AI for pressures below 10.2 cm. My optimum AHI is at a pressure of 9 cm. For less apneas I set my pressure range lower than optimum; for less hypopneas I set my pressure range higher. Help me u...

Re: Breathing Problems
As another member shared, many disorders can cause your symptoms. But from my own experiences, I would awaken during the night, coughing with liquid entering my mouth, sometimes sour, sometimes not, I had a mild case of acid reflux. Reflux can also cause shortness of breath & full chest feeling. I ...

Breathing Problems
Hey guys, Just curious if anyone else either experiences this or knows anything about this. I consistently wake up coughing up some fluid from my lungs--not tons, but enough to be irritating. Also my chest feels kind of full. I also have shortness of breath frequently during the day. I did a treadmi...

Need Oximeter to work with Resmed S8 Auto II
Hey guys, When I had my sleep study a month ago, they told me my oxygen level dipped down to 78% at one point after only two hours sleep without a CPAP during the first part of my split night study. They ended the study there and then put me on the CPAP. I have no idea what my saturation levels woul...

Re: No Rhyme or Reason to Numbers
Interesting. My Neurologist/Sleep Doctor said that they prefer straight CPAP at Vanderbilt Medical Center. I find it interesting that not only have I gotten my best numbers to date by using straight CPAP instead of APAP (as I was doing), but I also lowered my pressure and got much better results.

Re: No Rhyme or Reason to Numbers
Well I took Cajun's advice and moved it from APAP to straight CPAP AND I lowered the pressure from 14 to 11. Voila! My AHI went down to 3.0. I also didn't wake up dizzy like normal. I'm losing weight, so hopefully I'll be able to lower the pressure even more in the future. Hi Spookydoo, Good move &...

Re: No Rhyme or Reason to Numbers
spooky, Den gave me the same advice (try CPAP) when I started this back in May. My DME initially set me up at APAP 5-9 cm. I'm apparently sensitive to even slight APAP pressure changes and do much better on straight CPAP (at 8.5 now). Maybe you are as well? Great suggestion Cajun. I'll try that.

Minimum 14, Maximum 18. APAP, EPR of 1, AHI numbers start out in 2's and 3's with new pressure, but creep up into 5's, 6's, and 7's over time. My machine doesn't detect snores. My leaks are always minimal.

No Rhyme or Reason to Numbers
Hey guys, Help me figure this out. Looking back over my history on my Reader Card info, it doesn't seem to matter what my pressure is; my results always end of deteriorating. I started out with pressure at 9, and got poor results, so I raised it a little and got better results. Each time I leave it ...

Re: I am an overnight success
By the time I was on the lowest level of patch, I was experiencing tremendous fatigue and dizziness. I figured that it was the nicotine patch and vowed to tough it out for the entire program. I did and remain smoke-free since. But the fatigue and dizziness stayed with me. -Clark Congrats on getting...
