Re: question for users

Last night I switched the Auto Off to the Enabled position. I shoud mention I have mixed sleep apnea, so whenever I had a central apnea moment, the machine switched off for a period of time. It made for a rough night. As far as taking the mask off during the night, I do always wake up with it on and...

question for users

Hello Everyone, Recently after using my CPAP for about 10-11 mos, I happened to notice the display on my machine indicated that I was only averaging less than 1 hour of therapy a night. I hadn't really checked in a long time because I assumed everything was fine. After confirming with my smart card ...

Share a success

Hello everyone, I wanted to share a great experience I have had and hope it encourages others. I was diagnosed with sleep apnea in March of 2009. Initially I struggled using the machine (Remstar Pro M, 11.0, full quatro facemask). I couldn't seem to get used to it despite trying many suggested solut...

Re: CPAP Pillows

If you take Teflon tape you can wrap it around the grooves in the elbow (where the nozzle connects to the tube). This can prevent leaks in that area which are common in Mirage masks.

CPAP Pillows

Hello, I have been using my CPAP for about 6 weeks and am really struggling with high leak numbers. I use a Mirage Quatro Full Face mask (I am often a mouth breather, so it is a must). Last night I noticed in reviewing my numbers that there was a break in the leaking where it was in the normal range...

Re: Really high leak rate, fairly low Apnea - problem or not?

I have a very similar problem with extremely high leak rates. In reviewing the data, last night I noticed my leak was very high (over half the night was large leak) at the start of the night and at the end, but there was an hour in the middle with normal leak. I am speculating that the normal leak m...

smart card issue

Hello, I recently got the Encore reader and smart card for my Remstar Pro Series M. The device was working fine, but today it indicated that there was an error reading the smart card. When I reinserted the card into the machine, no matter how I put it in, I got beeps and a picture indicating that I ...
