I think that's an unnecessarily scarey response to his note and he'd be better off talking to his MD. Your pulse dropping (from where to what?) may have little bearing on things.

Well if you know the dimensions of the (rectangular) pillow, do you really need a pattern? Just leave room for hemming edges.

If you start lying now, you're setting yourself up for worse things later - more mix ups, etc. If there is a problem now, work through it with the doctor, techs, etc. but don't lie regardless... there are better ways to address stuff.

Don't know how helpful this is, but can you separate the whole Cpap/OSA business for a minute from your symptoms and maybe see them as (co)incidental FWIW and see either your own MD or another new one just in case something else is going on?
