Re: High AHI values - Resmed Autoset 8
I lowered my min pressure setting from 7cm to 9cm on my Autoset, the AHI value has been in the 6-6.5 range in the last 2 nights! I feel much better and not as tired!

Re: High AHI values - Resmed Autoset 8
I would like to add that my fixed CPAP pressure during my initial sleep study was 16cm, I had 55 events/hr. I initially had a regular CPAP machine at first with lower AHI readings. My sleep doctor prescribed an Auto CPAP after because I get less events on sleeping on my side, but I find that when I ...

High AHI values - Resmed Autoset 8

I used to have low AHI values, now I'm avg. in 9 to 11 range in the last year, and this morning it shows 16.3 I've been using an auto CPAP, for over 5 yrs, my current pressure setting min is 7 and max rang...

Re: Frustration with APAP, keep taking off mask at night!
An update! I have switched my Medium Quattro mask to Large, I found my old Large Quattro mask an tried to see if it would make a difference! To my surprise the bridge of my nose did not hurt as much and I slept for 6 hrs without taking off the mask! I will switch my Medium Quattro to a Large with my...

Re: Frustration with APAP, keep taking off mask at night!
hi foxnewsfan, I know that the cushion on the Quattro can be replaced, my disability benefits allow me to get a new CPAP mask every 6 months. I do adjust the adjustment knob to take the pressure off my nose. It seems for me a psychological issue or when I feel tired, I get irritated and hard to tole...

Re: Frustration with APAP, keep taking off mask at night!
popi, I seem to think that it could be my Quattro mask, it's quite uncomfortable on some nights, it hurts the bridge of my nose! I've had the mask for about 6 months. The pillows could be wearing out. Used to wear a L size but now I switched to M it gets a better seal than the L size. Used APAP for ...

Re: Frustration with APAP, keep taking off mask at night!
Thanks for your comments stormynights, I turned off EPR and will use straight pressure with no EPR tonight to see if it makes any difference.
I know I will get some input and possible solutions to my APAP issues.

Frustration with APAP, keep taking off mask at night!

My monthly avg pressure is 8-9cm and AI is 0.5, AHI - 4.4, leak rate - 0.28l/s - EPR 3 I also have GERD which is being treated by omeprazole and domperidone. My bed is elevated. Re: How to clean a Resmed autoset II water chamber?
Quoting from the ResMed User H4i guide, to use: a solution of one part vinegar to 10 parts water. 1) Fill yellow cleaning plug (comes with the humidifier, looks like a flat plastic dish) that you fill with to the rim with vinegar and pour into empty water chamber. 2) Add clean water to the water cham...

Re: Help in adjusting Resmed Autoset II min & max pressures!
I've been reading the following posts regarding the Quattro mask: Love or Hate relationship regarding the Quattro mask. It looks like I'll be shopping for another FFM , lots of complaints on how much the Quattro leaks and has poor sealing! http://www.cpaptalk.com/viewtopic/t47916/Love-or-hate-the-qu...

Re: Help in adjusting Resmed Autoset II min & max pressures!
Hi muse, I do have my mask selection to MIRFULL for the Quattro on the Autoset II, I felt no leaks when doing the mask fit and the mask fit on my machine said it was an Excellent fit, it is a new mask, my new hose has no leaks! It's very strange I had a high leak rate last night, about 77l/min, my m...
