Re: I called the Doctor's Office and spoke to the receptionist

Problem is fixed. Take TRT daily. Cpap took a couple of years to figure it out but it's dialed in now with the help of fellow cpap members. 29 is young for low T however it happens more than you think in the younger sector. I do know moderate exercising helps low T but to much exercise will send the...

Re: I called the Doctor's Office and spoke to the receptionist

I asked this before enchanter but what is your age?? I had the same symptoms as you for almost 9 years and while cpap was a good thing it didn't fix my problem. Ended up being low T. There is a huge thread about that on here so I'm not going to delve into it

I'm still wondering how a person like this can function in normal society. I would think holding a job and daily responsibilities would be next to impossible.

Just got back from Doctors appointment

Just out of curiosity what is your age and basic things like height and weight? And I totally agree with archangle a one time Ambien (basic short term sleeping pill) would be beneficial. The room isn't like home. The techs are in and out checking/fixing leads etc And if they do a split study with a ...

http://www.wisegeekhealth.com/what-is-a-maxillary-mucous-retention-cyst.htm Is this what you are referring to? If so it's quite common and they come and go ENT didn't excited about it. Used Flonase for awhile and it reduced it but it has never bothered me I have sinus problems on occasion but he sa...

Re: EEK Spider in Nasal Mask !!

Good reasoning why closing the end of the tube when not in use is an excellent idea. Insects love to hide in spaces like that.

Sleep lab moved to tonight (titration for c-pap)

The only thing I would recommend is bring a good set of ear plugs. The constant up and down whirring of the machine ruined my titration and I only got about 45 minutes of sleep so they kind of guessed at my pressure which was a huge mistake in the long run. The machine noise kept me up as I'm used t...

Interesting thought on Niacin http://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/high-blood-cholesterol/in-depth/niacin/art-20046208 A year ago my DR said if I wanted to lower my number from 195 to a shade lower, try Niacin....This years physical he changed his mind and said forget what he said a year ag...

Re: Sleep Apnea and Low T for Men

Low AHI doesn't always equate to feeling rested. The part that makes it restful or not is having the proper percentages of the various sleep stages. Never get to REM sleep and you are probably not going to feel rested.

Sleep Apnea and Low T for Men

What is the total T number??? I remember you started around 243 and jumped to 287 with two pumps....

I can't remember if you did 3 for awhile or just went to 4....so if I am reading your post correctly is that 4 pumps did the trick as far as the numbers go?

Re: colonoscopy

They used Versed and Demerol on me. One is a short term amnesia med and the other puts you into a twilight sleep. Neither the doctor said would effect the breathing at the doses they used plus she said being on your side keeps the apneas from happening. I remember faintly the end of the procedure bu...

Re: Sleep Apnea and Low T for Men

Go to You Tube and search for testosterone injections and several videos will come up. Always something on You Tube!!

It appears the most common places are in the butt muscles or on top of the leg. Of course follow your doctors recommendations...
