cpap alarm
On occasion, when turning off the cpap machine (remstar plus) the lights flash and it starts beeping. Annoys the DH, and I can't figure out why it does this. I do not remove the mask first, and I think I am pushing the button forcefully enough. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks--J

Re: OT: Just in from Phoenix...
Both of our children were adopted from Korea. We were told by the agency that a girl in Korea without a father would most likely end up being a prostitute. A boy, if very lucky, would find work on the street shining shoes. My heart goes out to all the innocent victims out there. Wish things like thi...

Re: Question for former Swift LT users
Thanks plr66--The top closure was loose a pinkie's width just as you suggested it should be, and I tightened up the back a little more. Didn't seem to make any difference in where the arms of the mask ended up. Have tried all kinds of angles with the pillow area mechanism. The arms are about a pinki...

Re: Question for former Swift LT users
Have heard the only difference between the Swift LT and the one "for Her" is the color and nasal pillow sizes that come with the mask. I think it would have made more sense if the "for Her" mask was designed with the frame being somewhat smaller. As a side sleeper (mostly) the fewer parts of the mas...

Re: Question for former Swift LT users
Thanks for your reply plr66. I will be interested in reading the results of the trial for the Opus 360 mask. Out of curiosity, how much space do you have between the arms of the Swift LT and your eye? Not experiencing leak problems, and glad to be getting treatment for the apnea. I was one of those ...

Question for former Swift LT users
Have had the Swift LT since the end of March, I think I need to look into a different nasal pillow mask. I have a short nose, so not much space between nostrils and eyes. I seem to have the arms of this mask pushing right up under my eyes, and am wondering if anyone has experienced this, and if so, ...

Re: Regis Philbin on cpap
I listened to Regis and Kelly yesterday and today--does it seem to you like he is even comprehending why he has a CPAP machine and what it is doing for him? Also sounds like he thinks this is something he will eventually 'get over' and won't need to be attached to a hose every night for the rest of ...

Re: Dry Eyes Question from Newbie
Have you tried different sized pillows to get a tighter seal/better fit? Used Lansinoh, lanolin in your nares to help with the seal? The air shouldn't be blowing in your eyes. -- JS

Re: Normal to be angry when newly diagnosed?
I usually do a gradual slow burn, then hit the top of the mountain, have a fit and slide down the other side telling myself to get a grip. Does that make any sense? I have several issues with health like most folks. My cardiologist asked if I was feeling better as it was the first time I had seen hi...
