The sleep doc told me that it would take at least 60 days to get used to being on the CPAP - so I started with the idea that I was not going to feel great right off the bat which I think lessened my anxiety. I also had some really "good nights" during that first couple of weeks which encouraged me. ...

I also had the leg movement thing. I am off the depression meds and started taking Inderal for the anxiety which has helped with the depression tremendously. I really like the Inderal (low dose - 20 mg). I am still on the Ambien at night and find that the regular Ambien works better than the Ambien ...

I take my Swift LT off during my sleep almost every night and I don't remember doing it. I also shut off the machine at the same time. Then I wake up about dawn, realize I don't have it on and put it back on for another hour or so. One night I slept a full eight hours with it on - that next day was ...

Question on travel and distilled water

We are planning a trip to Disney in September. We will be staying on site with no car. Since we are flying there, I can't bring along the water for the humidifier. So, how do I get water? Maybe it will be so humid I won't need it. Any suggestions? Also, traveled for the first time with the CPAP last...

I phoned my DME this morning. Actually, he has been very helpful. He suggested trying a chin strap first, then if that did not work I could try a FFM. However, I will have to buy the FFM as my insurance will not pay for another mask for 6 months. So, I stopped in and got the chin strap which was pai...
