Re: Need Airsense 10 connector to Respironics Battery Kit
Last night I used my Kill A Watt EZ meter to measure the watts used by my Airsense 10 with Humidifier at level 5. It measured 0.28 KWH or 280 watts in 8h26m = 33.2 watts/hr, = 33.2W/24V = 1.38 amps/hr. For my 14.4 AH battery, this amp deaw/hr equals 10.4 hours with my humidifier on (level 5). PG&E p...

Need Airsense 10 connector to Respironics Battery Kit
I replaced my Respironics Auto CPAP with a Resmed Airsense 10. For power outages, I would like to use my Respironics Battery Kit to power my Airsense 10. The Airsense 10 has a different sized power input than my Respironics Auto CPAP. I would like to know what I need to connect my Battery Kit to my ...

Re: Windows 7
I recently migrated from Outlook Express to Mozilla Thunderbird to do my e-mail on my new Vista 64-bit PC (was on XP SP3 on prior PC). Using Thunderbird / Tools / Import, I successfully imported all my mail messages and address books from Outlook Express (I did have to do some touchup for the addres...

Re: Smart Card Driver for Encore Pro
I am successfully running EncorePro 1.8.49 on Vista 64-bit. I used Gregor's link below to get the Mako card reader driver that I needed to install on my Vista 64-bit OS. I just looked at the site and they also have 32-bit Vista drivers. My EP is working great as is EPA (one small glitch - it won't p...

Re: Blower hours VS Therapy hours different numbers on M series
One of my Respironics M-Series APAPs (I have two and alternate every 3+ months) currently shows 1010.5 Blower Hours and 1005.8 Therapy Hours on its LCD after 134 Sessions. This difference is 4.7 hours or 282 minutes which means that my Therapy Hours are less than my Blower Hours by an average of a l...

Re: How to run EP under Vista 64 - solution
Gregor, using your instructions (with one modification so I could do a "Typical Installation"), I just installed EncorePro 1.8 (program + database) on my new Vista 64-bit PC (an early Christmas present). I also used your device driver link and installed the Vista 64-bit driver for my Mako card reade...

Re: SLEEP STUDY WRONG?You make the call!
Are you sleeping on your back at anytime during the night as some of us have Positional Sleep Apnea and have many times more Apneas & Hypopneas when "back sleeping"? If you are sleeping on your back, train yourself to sleep on your sides (or stomach using the Falcon position). Additionally since I a...

Re: How can it be?
I just don't understand how the mask can leak less than what it's designed for and am wondering if this is just another example of Respironics' screwball math. The EncorePro (EP) Average Leak # on the Sleep Therapy Daily Details report is sourced from the 30-second time-stamped (T-S) Leak Rates wri...

Re: How does a Dr. track therapy with no patient data?
If your mechanic only worried that your car ran and not how it ran would you keep going to him? Great analogy. My first sleep Dr., once my Titration was done, didn't care whether my car had wheels - said all that was up to the DME. The DME ("A") screwed up 3 RXs and took two months to provide me wi...

Body systems are based on organic reactions; they cannot be equated to a simplistic calories in = calories out. Can you point me to some studies that provide tables/charts/graphs/diagrams that show what is happening re these genetic biologically different processes? I'd like to change my mindset on...

Re: Opponents of universal health care in the US
Nine Canadians out of ten support the principle of Universal Health Care with a single insurer - the Government. A detailed analysis of the results for this recent Poll of 1,005 Canadians (October 10 - 18, 2009) is provided for the four questions asked of each respondent: 1) What do you think is th...
