Time to get some new ones :)
Hope ya'll are doing well. Realized my machines are almost 10 years old...wow! They are REMstar Auto M Series, one of which I used for travel. Was thinking of getting the Dreamstation with humidifier and the Dreamstation Go for travel. They seem good and I've had success with Respironics. Reviews ap...

Re: Using CPAP At An Altitude of 12,500'
Hello All, I am at 14 cms of water on my machine. 14 cms of water is the same here in Texas as it is at 12,500 ft in the Andes. No need to change my machine. The machine has to work a bit harder to produce a higher volume of air is all. I have not checked my AHI in awhile at high alt but everything ...

Re: Anyone use CPAP on an oversea trip?
Travel all over the world and never a problem with airlines, security, or customs. Thankfully. No need to bring a power adpapter but you will need a European plug adapter. Might get one of those multi versions if you plan on traveling. Also get one of those simple white or brown extension cords abou...

High Altitude CPAP Use
Last week I was visiting the Antamina copper mine in Peru at about 14,500 feet. Stayed 2 nights and CPAP sure helped me not get behind on O2 at night.

Re: Bin Laden had sleep apnea?
Just saw on the video the same thing. Went in here to make a post and saw it already had been posted. Looks like an older unit but very much like a cpap.
Reminds me of an old resmed machine I saw once. Hose looks like a lot like one. Also close to bed.

Re: Traveling with CPAP
I don't have a special tag or anything. Often I use bottled water. Clean your humidifier out with a white vinegar solution to remove deposits. An extension cord really helps. One of those brown or white simple cords you find around Christmas is good. I use an 8 or 6 foot one. I'm in Brazil right now...

Re: CPAP and sex life
If CPAP is interfering with your sex life, please consult with your DME again because you have not been wearing the mask properly. All Kidding aside, Just take the mask off or don't put it on in the first place. It's not like you get into bed and someone stops by for a drink and jumps in bed with y...

I'm also sorry to hear of your friend. He is so young for this to happen. I've also lost some friends to heart problems. It is so sudden and unfortunate. I had a friend of mine (in my S.S. class) who is a pharmacist to recently send this email about heart attacks. If it helps just one person, it wi...

Re: Switching Insurance Co's While Renting???
I'm going to go through this on Jan 1. Have good cafeteria plan insurance but will have to switch on Jan 1 from Aetna to Cigna. I've currently got a local DME that is not in the CIGNA network. Also am doing a rent to own I believe.
Going to have to research this a bit.

Re: FLY BOMB and my CPAP machine
Wash and rinse the hose, mask and humidifier. Time to change/clean the filter as well. You could let the machine run for about 15 minutes before using. Most of those consumer bug products of that type degrade pretty rapidly. if it was that bad you would have to move outside of your house because any...
