Chin strap falls off back of head!
Hi Everyone. My chin strap is just your basic under the chin, velcro at the top of the head. It's thin. I have a nasal swift pillow. My chin strap becomes loose at night or falls back.It really doesn't work for me. I have tired using a "do" rag from my motorcycle helmet, and also hair clips. The do ...

Re: I need a comfortable chin strap!
Finally I got a chance to read the replies. Thanks so much for the great suggestions. I like the idea of wearing a "do rag" which would would help the
current strap from moving. I'll try that first. Then the other 2 suggestions.
Thanks so much for helping me out here!

I need a comfortable chin strap!
I have been on my CPAP machine for almost 2 months and WOW - I feel so much better! I love my nasal pillows but can't keep my mouth closed. My current chin strap - basically a chin pouch with 2 long straps with velcro at the ends always falls back or off. I don't know if there is one that can be inc...

Re: Spoke too soon!
Good ideas everyone! I can certainly see about the hair issue with women. My chin strap is just a strap of blue with velcro on the ends and a little "pouch" for the chin. My nasal pillow has a strap that goes around the back of my head and one that goes on the top. I am going out today to get some o...

Spoke too soon!
Last week I posted on how my first week was just wonderful. I just slept like a rock and didn't move at all during the night. Many of you commented that this was great - but unusual! How true those words were - but I didn't know it at the time. Week 2 has been a different story. I use a nasal pillow...

First 5 days on my CPAP machine! I love it!
I just completed my first 5 nights on my Remstar Pro M Series (with humidifier). My AHI is set to 10. Off my little screen I got the following information: Therapy Usage Avg 8.30 5 Sessions System Leak 30.6 AHI 2.4 50.1 Therapy hours I have no idea if these numbers are good or bad. I think maybe I h...

Re: DeViliss Intellipap or ResMed S8 Elite II??
I just spoke with CPAP.com and they said to me unless my doctor prescribed a auto machine, that I should NOT get it. She could not tell me why. My prescription just is really a "form" letter that says cpap must be fully data capable. I makes sense about the auto -vs the elite. I am actually going to...

Re: DeViliss Intellipap or ResMed S8 Elite II??
According to the prescription, my optimal pressure is 10cm.
My head hurts thinking about all this.
Now I am reading about ResMed Elite Auto II.
What is Auto and why do I need it?

DeViliss Intellipap or ResMed S8 Elite II??
I am now debating between the Intellipap by DeViliss or the ResMed S8 elite II machine. I have read that many of you use the ResMed and highly recommend the Elite II as being the gold standard.
Any thoughts on the Intellipap machine?
Thanks

Card reader or USB for S8 Elite II machine?
I visited the DME place today to look at machines. I told them I wanted the the ResMed S8 Elite II machine. Do I get the card reader or USB to download to my computer? I know I have to order the software. I'm a MAC user and I will be able to run Windows so that does help. I have no idea how to do th...

Separate humidifer for CPAP machine? Newbie ??
Hi Everyone, I am meeting with my sleep doctor today after doing both the initial sleep study and then a titration sleep study. I have no idea what my results were for either test, so I am a bit anxious to find out. I'm bringing my hubby with me for a 2nd set of ears. I would like to get the ResMed ...

Newbie who is meeting with sleep doctor Tuesday
What a relief to know that I have sleep apnea. I literally thought I was in a deep depression because I kept sleeping all the time. When I went to have my physical, my doctor suggested that I might have sleep apnea and had me get a sleep study. I did the sleep study and found out that they wanted me...
