Homemade pillows? No, not nasal pillows!

I was wondering if anyone had a pattern for a homemade pillow that has worked well for them. I use a tiny pillow, but it was really not meant to be slept on every single night, so after just over a month, it is compressed into something quite thin. I just cannot sleep with my regular pillow, and can...

Re: Major leaks @ 3am...but good until then

I did end up switching back to my original nasal pillows on another night such as the one mentioned above, and that one has been working...for now. I have a nurse/church friend that is going to get me a free sample of lanolin to try before I pay through the nose (pun intended) for a full tube. I apo...

Re: Home studies...who can help?

I want to thank you all for your helpful advice. I will check out the link and whatever other info I can find on the subject. I will also look into the pulse-ox test, but I have to agree that he should have ALREADY sent him for a REAL study. When I asked my husband why his Dr. didn't just order a st...

Home studies...who can help?

Hello. Question for whomever might have anything to say on the subject: I've read something on here about a home sleep study. What do we need to do; who do we need to see; how does it work....you get the picture. I have had my cpap for a little over a month, but I've been telling my husband for year...

Re: Major leaks @ 3am...but good until then

Okay, forget it! I'm going back to bed. With or without cpap, I need some sleep. I guess I'll figure it all out sooner or later.

Major leaks @ 3am...but good until then

Here it is, 3am, and I'm up because of leaking! My husbands suggestion? Depends!!! Great help he is, he gets to sleep all night! As you can see, I have a Swift LT. So, does anyone have any ideas? I get to sleep fairly quickly when I first go to bed, and with no leaks, then wake up in the wee hours a...

New haircut, new problem...help!

Okay, so I thought less hair would mean less tangling w/the straps & such! But instead, I had more leaks and my nose is sore as can be. Not my nares...a little bit of vicks keeps that at bay. No, the nose itself is sore! I had to tighten the straps a little bit (less hair, I guess) and must have got...

Re: OT- Need Prayer for my Husband's Hip Replacement Surgery

My husbands uncle had a hip replacement due to a fall when he was 95 or 96. He just turned 100 in Feb. and while he doesn't go out and about, he is still mobile and we are invited to attend a belated party for him at his church. He's also still sharp as a tack, BTW!

Re: Hello and an Introduction

Okay, I just have to ask...what is the difference between a Swift LT and a Swift LT for Her? I'm still new at this and learning, so bear with me. I have a Swift LT, but I didn't know there was a different one for "her" aka "me".

SleepyRose...I would LOVE to see a picture of your 150 lb Aussie! We had one for 16 years, but I think she only topped out at 60 lb.

Sleep or REM debt

Okay, so I'm starting to sleep better now that I have the right machine, thanks to the expert advice of rested gal. Now, I'm intrested in when I can expect to feel more rested after those "better sleeps". I've seen some talk of sleep debt or sometimes called REM debt, and I'm just wondering...is thi...

A few more questions from a newbie

Hello. I have had such great success when asking questions on this forum, that I thought I'd ask a few more. Usually, my questions happen in the middle of the night and I need to know right away so I can get some sleep. This time, I have less of an urgency, but still need to know. 1. What is the bes...

Re: Help! My 1st rainout was a soaker!

Thank you, Tracy. It might be the room/bed temp, as I went to sleep with my matress pad on. All I know is after an hour, I could tell there was some condensation, and when I turned on my side, it "dumped" on my hand! Well, I'm going to try to sleep again now. I haven't had enough good nights since s...

Help! My 1st rainout was a soaker!

It's me again. I just had my 1st big rainout, and barely even know what that is. I guess I really don't even know that much...I've seen the term, but I don't know what to do about it. Can you tell me what's up? I know from my 1st really bad night (Friday night) that this is where I can find the answ...
