Without a germanium crystal, it's next to impossible.
A "foxhole radio" uses a safety razor blade and a pencil lead.

Re: Is tap water OK for 2 nights?

We have really hard water, and when we ran one of those ultrasonic humidifiers in the room when the kids were small, we noticed a mineral dust on surfaces. I would not want to breathe it all night every night.

Re: Forgot my humidifier (M-series)

Thanks for the responses. There was no way just to attach the hose to the blower unit (M-1). I don't think I have that plastic adapter that feeling_better speaks of, unless it is removed from the M-1 and installed on the outlet side of the HH. Is this so? Does anyone know how I could get said adapte...

Forgot my humidifier (M-series)

A month or so ago, I traveled with my CPAP for the first time. Preparing for bed, I discovered that I had forgotten the humidifier tank. I ended up with a miserable night trying to sleep without it, and kept the kids awake as well. I guess I'm dependent on the machine now. Is there a way, if I ever ...

Re: Encore Pro for $60 - is this a good price?

$60 would be a good price - However, I concur that this seller is selling bootleg copies on Ebay. Look at your disk - can you see that the label is stuck on to the disk? Look at the splash screen - can you see that an L-shaped portion of the image has been masked? Did you get documentation, or custo...

Re: Card reader problems continue

I concur that your issue is with the drivers and you need the Respironics driver. Also, your card reader is a DT-3500, right? That's the only model that works.

Re: OT...I want to get my wife a new phone.

+1 for the iPhone. I LOVE mine. The applications are addictive! Sam One of the apps I tried out on mine is called "sleep analyzer". Start the app and set the phone on your nightstand. It listens an analyzes the sounds made during the night. It detects significant events such as snoring, coughing, e...

Re: OT...I want to get my wife a new phone.

The iPhone is an incredible piece of technology and well worth a look. Only AT&T has it (in the USA), though. You may find a deal on an iPhone 3G soon because a newer version is due soon.

Re: OT - One Pill Might Prevent Heart Disease

All of the drugs in the Polypill are generic right now, and cost <$12 each for a 3 month supply at Sam's/Walmart (without insurance). The aspirin's even cheaper. The Polypill is not about cost savings, but about overcoming patient reluctance to take multiple pills. The CPAP crowd might not fit that ...

After clearing the card and re-initializing it, all is well. It is capturing data and I have been able to read reports with Encore Pro.
