Re: Behavior specialist

A couple of years ago, I looked at the medical literature for a friend. There is evidence that a variant of Cognitive Behavior Therapy can work for people with insomnia. Don't know if the same approach might help you, but it might.

On My First Night with TapPap...

... My leaks went wild. (I know that I have some Laniosh somewhere - I just need to dig it out.) My pressure went somewhat higher, but not much. Just enough to be noticeable on the report. However, my AHI, which had been cruising around between 2 and 3 was 6.6. I'm kinda glad I wore a retainer as a ...

Got mine today. So far, the biggest challenge is getting the head gear attached with the correct side out. 8<)) However, tonight will be the toughest challenge.

Re: your experiences with chin straps?

I think I'm one of the few who like The Ultimate Chinstrap. It's expensive and looks uncomfortable, but isn't really. It is hot, however.

Did you ask them about whether you will own the machine? I bet they'd say they're just renting.

Re: Maintenace charges for machine

Are you sure it's not your insurance? I had to get a new machine recently. When I went to pick it up, I had to give them back the old machine and it was made absolutely clear to me that my insurance (Aetna) NEVER buys the machines, but after the initial period, puts them on long term rental, with a ...

Re: I thought it was car a stuck in the snow

The set-up menu has a setting for a quiet mode. I forget what it's called, off the top of my head. It's engaged on my machine. I can hardly hear it.

Re: Respironics Confusing names---UPDATED guide for Newbies

Hi, RobySue, maybe you can answer a question for me. Do you know anything about a Respironics Legacy machine called a "REMaster" or "REMmaster?" My first machine (before I started coming here) was called that. I can't find anything on line about them. Do you know anything about them?

Re: Medications that effect sleep list.

The advanced search for The National Library of Medicine's Daily Med ( http://dailymed.nlm.nih.gov/dailymed/advancedSearch.cfm ) has the facility of searching within the Adverse Reactions section of the label of drugs approved from about 2009. This should help develop a more comprehensive list. I'm ...

Re: PR S1 software options..Warning a Novel..

Hi, Pugsy, Great thread! I haven't been around here in several months. I tried to catch up on posts that might be relevant to myf question, but got only bits and pieces, and old threads that didn't quite provide the information that I need. So, my question to you is whether SH works with the PRS1 Se...
