My dog ate my mask
So here I am recovering from gallbladder surgery and my doggie is mad that I cant pick him up, so he decided he was going to eat my mask as payback. He bent and cracked the L shaped piece that connects the hose to the nosepiece (its a swift LT) as well as the tip of the small hose. I cant afford a n...

Re: POLL: What got you into xPAP therapy ?
I had multiple answers. I was told about 3 years ago by a dr that I should have a sleep test since I have a large neck. I ignored it and was like yeah whatever, how could they tell by neck size. After I got married my Husband started telling me I snore - Ive always been told I snore, so I didnt thin...

Re: Womens hormone cycles and OSA
We'll I am still fairly new to Cpap and I am not sure I can be much help in answering since I also have PCOS, but I did notice as my sleep apnea was getting worse (prior to diagnosis) My periods were getting further and further apart and pms was worse. Poking an eye out / plugged nose
I love my swift LT, atleast I have until the past week or so. For some reason I have been waking up more with my mask off. Well not really off, but the pillow will be off of my nose and the little arch shaped plastic from the strap (the little bump part the rests on your cheek)Has been poking me in ...

Re: pets
I have a french bulldog and I am sure he has sleep apnea. When I first got him he was 6 months old. The first few days I had him He would snore in his sleep and he would stop breathing. In fact he would stop for so long that I had to wake him up to make sure he was ok. It used to scare the heck out ...

Re: What's the usual sleeping position for CPAP users?
I an a total side and stomach sleeper. I have never been able to sleep on my back. I use the swift LT. I also sleep with the end of the mask hanging off the pillow. I probably wake up with small leaks once a week or so. Im pretty much used to the mask now. I dont know about side sleeping with a full...

Re: Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome
I was diagnosed with pcos when I was 14. My mom says I have always snored - even as a little kid. Im sure I have always had sleep apnea, but never realized it until I started falling asleep at work, and my husband telling me I dont breath in my sleep. I too am over weight and have been since about 8...

I just started cpap the begining of march, so I am still adjusting a bit. I know prior to using cpap when I was sleeping I would toss and turn a lot. Since starting Im not moving around as much in my sleep. While my Husband is now enjoying a more restful sleep, I am waking up stiff and sore in my sh...

Re: Ear infections and cpap
I have tried it both with and without ramp. When it ramps up to about 8 (my setting is 10) they pop. They also pop if I turn the machine on and then put my mask on. I will try the cotton and see if it helps.

Ear infections and cpap
I have an ear infection - this is my first one since starting cpap so Im not really sure how to deal with it. I am pretty prone to getting them a few times a year. My question is that the last 2 nights when I turn on my cpap it has been making my ears pop like when you go in an airplane and since my...

Re: any comfortable nasal masks for small nose
I also have a small nose. I use the swift lt for her and I love it. It is very comfotable and not at all bulky. I am a side sleeper and it seems to stay im place pretty well. Also the "for her" comes with little microfleece covers for the mask sides. (at least mine did).
