Re: cleaning your mask

I've always used 1 part vinegar to 3 parts warm water and let it all soak for atleast a hour. Then a very good rinse. I haven't had any problems with it.
Since I got a new mask I use clear natural dish soap. I think it's dove but I'm not sure.
I soak everything for an hour and rinse and dry well.

Re: how many wear medic alert bracelets

I have one and wear it. I've been told by EMT's and Doctors that if your wearing a wrist bracelet or one around your neck, then they'll read it first before they do anything. They won't look in your wallet until later if at all. If your wearing something, then it's important enough for them to know....

People using an Oximeter

Well I got one the other day and have started using it. Gradually getting use to it on my finger. It doesn't hurt, it's just something different. My SPO2 seems to stay in the 94 to 98 range during sleep and while awake, yes I sometimes where it just for fun. LOL!! My Pulse goes down at night to a lo...

Re: Newbie question, I use the Comfortlite 2 mask.

WOW, I am impressed. I ordered the Mirage Swift II, a new performance hose, a new humidifier hose and another snuggle hose from CPAP.com yesterday. A little while later I received an email that my order had shipped. I came home tonight and my order was here. 24 hours after I ordered and it's at my h...

Re: O2 Meter ?

I was doing a search on Oximeters here and last year there was a post about this meter and different places to buy it. There were a few people having an issue with Echostore. There were some post about buying it from other places and it seems that getting it from this place is: 1. less expensive $16...

Re: Actual time between filter change ??

I wash out my reusable filter every weekend. Just like other reusable filters, why change it if it still works?
I don't use the fine filter. No reason other than I didn't start and no one said to. The DME didn't even tell me it was in the bag.

Re: Newbie question, I use the Comfortlite 2 mask.

Hi Brent, I've been reading the posts and responses. Glad you came to this forum - welcome!! Being only about a month on the forum myself, and new to CPAP . . . I still wanted to put my 2 cents in. By the way, I have only the CL2 mask so far, and my pressure is also 13. I keep my room at 65 degrees...

Re: Newbie question, I use the Comfortlite 2 mask.

Well after doing some tweeks to my mask, and covering the hose of the mask and the nose piece, I don't see a change with the condensation issue. ) For most, just covering the hose isn't enough.... heated makes a huge difference! Mindy Mindy, I am getting nice warm air out of the mask/pillow end wit...

Re: Newbie question, I use the Comfortlite 2 mask.

Did you try the "string wick" that I suggested back on the 25th? Gerald, I'm still looking for the string. I thought I found some at the grocery store, it was the type you tie up food with. I cut a piece and put it in the pillow area, but when I turned on my machine, it kept blowing out. I tried di...

Re: Newbie question, I use the Comfortlite 2 mask.

Well after doing some tweeks to my mask, and covering the hose of the mask and the nose piece, I don't see a change with the condensation issue. The mask is fitting better without leaking unless I really move weird. I really think the Comfort 2 needs a small hole in the bottom by the nasal pillos to...

Re: Newbie question, I use the Comfortlite 2 mask.

Rainout isn't always obvious and can appear as if it's condensation. You might try a double cover over your hose to see if that makes any difference (or route the hose under the bed covers). If it helps, then the heated hose likely would, too. Mindy Ahhhh... see what I thought was condensation may ...
