Re: Philips System One Problem

Hi, Can you post your equipment? There is printing on the front face of the unit that tells you what unit you have. For example it might say "BiPAP Pro" or "BiPAP Auto". On the back the label will have a similar statement and then below the wording on the upper left hand side of the lebel it will pr...

Re: 12 volt battery operation

Hello, I am planning to spend about three nights aboard a houseboat in the Florida Keys next month. Since I will be away from all shore power, I plan on using a 12 volt DC power source to operate my CPAP. I have read somewhere that when using this type of power I should not use the humidifier, due ...

Re: Quattro FX Headgear: Either too tight or too loose.

My Quattro FX Headgear is killing my ears. I have these sores right on the top of where the ear cartilage begins next to my side burns. I wonder if there is fix out there. Hi, might want to see my post on a new FX Mask Liner. A liner may help you re-arrange and reduce the tension in your head gear....

Re: 12 volt battery operation

If there is a jumper on the back it is only on the 12V models. Respironics made about 3 diff models of the M humidifier, I think only 1 was 12v. I know mine is AC and has no jumper. Yup, GumbyCT is correct. The R-3 humidifier is the 12 volt version (it is the one with the two different length conne...

Re: EncorePro 2 giving incorrect leak numbers

Hi, Sorry, was AFK. Glad you found how to change the setting. For others it can be found in the "User's" "Setup Menu". If it doesn't show up in the "User's" "Setup Menu" menu that is because it as been turned off in the "Clinical" "Setup Menu". If you can see the setting but cannot change it is beca...

Re: EncorePro 2 giving incorrect leak numbers

Hi,

What is your "System1 Resistance" setting? I am using the Resmed Quattro FX and use a setting of "X1" and appear to be getting correct information. The System 1 Resistance" setting will affect the numbers that EncorePro 2 reports.

Cheers

Re: Pad-A-Cheek Liner Quattro FX - Revised & New Cheek Bone Pads

That's good to hear! I rarely have to use my FF Quatro - only if allergies get really bad or get a cold. But when I do, I notice the cushion ages when I'm not even wearing it. I wondered if it was a natural breakdown of silicone or if I just contacting skin even if the cushion is washed well will c...

Revised Pad-A-Cheek Liner Quattro FX & New Cheek Bone Pads

Hi, I have been working with Karen, from Pad-A-Cheek, to improve the fit of the Resmed Quattro FX mask liner and to develop a set of pads for the upper mask connection (to cover the area where the mask/head gear the goes across the cheek bones just below your eyes.) After a few prototypes, I am happ...

Re: Question - Don't Know If Anyone Knows

Hi, If the machine is "acting up" then try pressing ramp. That should settle it down and let it recover. I have found that mask leaks can cause my unit to sometimes just go off into "Never Never" land. I used ramp to stop the crazies and have over time adjusted both my mask's head grar tension and l...

Re: SleepyHead BIPAP questions.

Hi, First the PS setting is just for the BiPAPs and the BiPAP advanced models. Second I will PM you a report set from Encore Pro for a BiPAP Auto. Third, Here is the explination of how PS works on a Respironics BiPAP auto in layman terms (quoted from JNK) As an illustration, think of inhale and exha...

Re: SleepyHead BIPAP questions.

PS? Pressure Support? I have no idea what that is.. Does it show in Encore? A screenshot would be awesome.. PS shows up in the pressure graph and is visible in the single graph that shows both IPAP and EPAP. It does not show up directly but is visible a because it can force either EPAP or IPAP to m...
