Travel CPAP Machine Questions
Ok - I've managed to read and read and read about travel masks and have come to this conclusion....I'm now totally lost. I thought I had narrowed this down to the AeioMed Standard Travel CPAP with HH and rechargable battery or the Intellipap Standard CPAP with HH and battery backup....now enter the ...

Re: Introduction and questions
Good morning again my fellow CPAP'rs. First let me start out by saying I can't thank the members of this forum enough for their feedback and knowledge. My patience with finding a good DME has helped make this experience far more enjoyable (less painful perhaps) than it might otherwise have been with...

Re: Smart Card reader, best price?
I received my SC Reader today and it works great. You'll need to download the driver from the Mako website to make it work though...go to the website and download the driver before you hook up the reader. I'm using XP (SP3) so I can't help anyone with Vista.....
Take care,
Steve

Re: Smart Card reader, best price?
I just ordered the Mako DT3500 from CPAP-Supply.com for $54 + $8.30 S&H. As much as I like CPAP.com I couldn't justify paying the extra $85 for basically the same device...and I was too lazy to call for a price match.

Re: Tier 2 alternatives to Protonix - which do you prefer, why?
Hi Dreamdiver - I too am on Tricare and recently changed from Protonix to Nexium for no other reason than the decreaesed cost because Protonix was working fine. However, once I started Nexium I realized I was actually doing better than the Protonix because I actually had stopped the "flaming burps" ...

Re: Introduction and a questions
Hello again.... I did the mouth taping thing last night and it wasn't even half as bad as it sounds...and I slept for 7 hours! I'm going to do it again for the next couple of nights and see how it goes and if all goes well I'll be trying the Hybrid or Mirage Liberty FFM because it's apparent I'm mou...

Can't Find the Link to the Mouth Taping Procedure
I'm leaking at 41.2 l/min and want to try taping tonight...exhausted right now and willing to figure this out one way or another. I'm pretty sure I'm mouthleaking or breathing.... I read an excerpt a week or so ago about mouth taping from one of the local experts....unfortunately, I can't find it no...

Re: Introduction and a questions
I researched the Mirage Liberty FFM (per Sharkbait's feedback) and didn't even know such a device existed! I thought all FFM's were large conglomerations akin to military chemical warfare masks....not comfortable at all. I've been using the Swift LT pillows and my nose has adjusted well to them, but...

Re: Introduction and a questions
Thanks Sharkbait....I guess I just needed to hear there are many reasons people use whatever mask at the moment. I keep reminding myself of what I read on this forum, "This is a journey, not a sprint". Since I'm able to get another mask to try every 30 days until I find one that works I may try the ...

Re: OK You M.O.M. Mouth-Tapers--I Don't Get It!
Hey PLR66 - I'm still a rookie in the CPAP process, but there is a good link by one of the veteran's about taping your mouth. Unfortunately, I don't remember who it was, but if you type in "mouth taping" in the search block you'll probably be able to find. One thing for sure, he did not say to use p...
