Re: CPAP Support Pillow?
My biggest criticism of the pillow is that it is not thick enough. It works well with my face and how I sleep, but I wish it was a bit thicker. I put it on top of a regular pillow and it works like a charm.

Re: Newbie Intro
Stick with it. Once you get into the habit of using a PAP, you will find that it becomes like a favorite pillow. I have been using my CPAP since February and have found that it helps me fall asleep. I went without it for two days while I was traveling and I could not fall asleep. I felt like a child...

Welcome to Texas! If you have the opportunity, you should make a trip up to Austin. We have a lot to see and do up in the Capital City!

Re: Help with Swift LT please
I used the Swift LT for a week. I could not stand it. Many people like this mask and have raved about it. But mask preference varies from person to person. I swapped mine for a Micro Mirage and have not looked back. I no longer take my mask off at night and I sleep through the night each night. I pr...

Re: Airport Security
I will be interested to see how traveling with my CPAP goes. My first trip with it will be from the US to South Africa. I'll be carrying it the whole way.

Re: Anyone use this pillow?
I use a similar pillow (https://www.cpap.com/productpage/SleePAP-cpap-pillow.html) The shape works well for me. The only issue that I have with it is that the stuffing tends to migrate from the joints during the evening. I end up fluffing the pillow each evening. I suppose that is not too bad. Other...

Re: My Personal Quest for the Perfect Pillow
I too have the SleePAP pillow. It is a great pillow, but not 'perfect'. My biggest issue with it is that the stuffing has to be adjusted after use. It is a great shape and density IMO. Now if they could just keep the stuffing from redistributing itself each night... I am a big fan of the Chillow. It...

Re: Mirage Micro Whistling
Problem solved... I rushed home from work early to tinker with the mask and solved the problem. It looks as though the silicone part of the mask was not seated correctly on the plastic part of the mask. There was a tiny knob of silicone on the seal that caused an ever-so-tiny leak. With a steady han...

Mirage Micro Whistling
I swapped masks last evening from the Swift LT to the Mirage Micro and I had the best night of sleep that I have had in years! However, my better-half complained that the Micro was making a high-pitched whistle all evening. I checked for leaks around the seal and there were none. It seemed as though...

Re: Reliability of Data Resmed S8 Elite
I am excited. I picked up the S8 Elite today and a new mask. The nasal pillows made me feel like I had a laser pointed at the inside of my nostril. I hope that the Mirage Micro will help me with that...

Re: Sleep Apnea and VA
I am not sure about the specific rating. However, I can tell you that you should keep on them. I was not given service connection for other issues my first time around. I found that if you are persistent, they tend to give ratings for qualified disabilities. Even if you get 0%, it means that they wi...

Re: Reliability of Data Resmed S8 Elite
Good advice! Thank you for the assistance. I figure it is only $150 for the upgrade. Why not go for it if this is something that I am going to have to live with for the next X years.
Thanks all.
Thanks all.

Reliability of Data Resmed S8 Elite
I am a new user to the whole world of CPAP. I asked the technician at my doctor's office if I should switch from the Resmed S8 Compact to the Elite for the purposes of collecting data. She said that the office, which is the best in Central Texas, had used the data devices in the past, but they elect...

Re: Please help picking my 1st cpap machine!!
I am a new CPAP user. I have been sleeping with it for the past 4 nights. My insurance requires that I rent the machine for the first month and then I have the option to purchase after the first month. My doctor provided me with the ResMed S8 Compact. I have no trouble with the machine - so far. How...
