VS vs. Teeth Grinding

How likely is it that my VS (vibratory snore) is actually a result of my teeth grinding and not actually a snore?

Thanks

here is my latest report.................the best ever VS I have had.

Re: Interpreting Respironics M Pro Leak Data

If you do some searches here you will find alot of information on this topic. MY opinion now is as long as i do not have large leaks............and my nightly average leak minus my mask vent rate is not over 20 lpm.....I say it is good. And the '20' number may be able to be even higher.......up to m...

Re: My Theory based on Respronics Response

Do a search as this has been hashed and rehashed. I posted a thread recently about people making too much out of leak lines being perfect. I think it compensates in cpap mode good but in apap mode from my own experience leaks drive the machine crazy(Respironics M-series anyway). That isn't a whole ...

Re: My Theory based on Respronics Response

Do what you want, but that would be too much snoring for me. I would bump the pressure 0.5 cm for a few nights and see what happens. You could step it up three or four times if necessary. I mean you are going to all the trouble to use CPAP, why not get rid of snoring which is also dangerous to heal...

Re: How often do you think about your SA or equipment each day?

I have been thinking alot about it.............almost as much as you. But since I am now going to stop 'worrying' about the little leaks.............I think I will 'think' about it alot less. I like to hang out here on the boards all day when I have the time................not sure if that will chan...

Re: pronounce hypopnea (OT)

I was reading a medical terminology book and came across hypopnea in it. The book gives a phonetic-type spelling to help with pronunciation of words. It seemed to me that they were saying the second p is silent. So I looked for it on an online medical dictionary and that has two sound files - one w...

My Theory based on Respronics Response

At this point I am not going to sweat the small leaks unless someone tells me where I my theory is weak/wrong. Based on the information below......my machine compensates for the small leaks easily so there is really no therapeutic loss. So I should only be concerned with Large leaks and not the smal...

Re: Still so tired

I have heard it can take months if not years....................depending on the amount of debt we have accumulated. But that is just what I have read....I am no expert. I have only been on CPAP for a little over a month..............I too am still tired and working to pay off that sleep debt. Good ...

Re: That first unmasked breath in the morning...

The first thing I smell is dust I hate it, and I never notice a dusty smell any time other than first thing in the morning after I have removed my mask. I like the cool fresh air of my cpap lots better I smell the dust too...................I thought maybe I was just going out of my mind a little f...

Re: How much mask leak is normal?

My mask leak rate is about 37 LPM @ 10 CMH2O. My machine says the Leakge is @ 43.49 LPM. My actual Leakage is 6.49 LPM @ 10 CMH2O. After reading alot of posts on here I believe the machine makes up that 6.49 LPM so I am going to call that good and not sweat the little leaks any more.

Not all machines have this list, right? I have not seen it on my Remstar A-Flex.

Re: Call Me: "Rockin Mama - Take II"

i am no authority on insurance....but seems to me that I remember reading here somewhere that the DME bills the insurance a set rate for equipment............then the cheaper model they can give you the greater profit for them.

Others will chime in soon.

I would find another DME.

Good luck.

Leakage rate getting Better

I think the hose management I started using last night may have helped the leakage rate a little. I am really anxious to get the leakage rate under control......so I can increase the pressure a little..........to work on the snoring issue.
