Pressures going down

It's been slightly over three months now since I got my machine and began using it. (And signed into this forum! smile....) I've been 100% compliant and sleep slightly over 7 hours each night. No mask problems, no sleeping problems, and no machine problems. I'm sleeping great and feel better during ...

Re: Dating...and cpap (off topic for most)

My husband (of 34 years) is so happy I have the mask and machine - the mask doesn't inhibit anything! As someone else mentioned already - it can be off in a flash! I've been a bad snorer for years and my apnea scared him badly. Now that I'm sleeping well and quietly, he's getting more sleep. It's go...

Re: Welcome To the Forum, Follow Up Call

I guess I'm the lucky one. I'm a new user; just about a month now (and have posted here a couple of times) but I had excellent support from my doctor, RT, and DME. My health care system had three classes (an hour and a half each), the RT spent time with each of us in the class and afterwards, and th...

And yes, since I'v started cpap, I've been getting out more, too, and also bicycle.

Re: Time to order a new mask should I try nasal pillows?

I am very comfortable with my Optilife nasal pillows.

Since I'm claustrophobic, I can't stand too much on my face and a FFmask is way too much.

Re: Help! Nasal Pillow users

I had a sore nose for about a week, with the nose gradually getting less and less tender. Then no problems at all. I do use an ointment on my nose before bed; it helps with the friction and makes a tighter seal. I did have to reach a balance, tho, of making sure there were no leaks and not tightenin...

Re: What Now?

Sometimes you can move things along quickly! I had my sleep test on Thursday, the doctor wrote the prescription on Monday, and I had all my equipment and a class on using it by the next Wednesday. All in less than a week. I'm only on my second week of using it but am already feeling amazingly better...
