Re: Go home and live with it!
Do you use ramping or settling mode? It's my understanding that while you are in ramping or settling mode the machine is not recording data. If I wake up in the middle of the night a little restless I will restart so that it ramps for 15 minutes to give myself time to fall asleep again. When you are...

Re: Seeking insight from mild and/or younger apnea sufferers
Just because your pressure is 9 does not necessarily mean you have mild apnea. It is not the pressure so much as the number of events that matters.
After my sleep study I was titrated at 5 but still had moderate sleep apnea since I had 25 apnea-hypopnea events per hour.

Re: Problems with Logging in or Creating Account
I just signed up too. I'm so excited to see a challenge for a mask I use every night. I'd love to get picked, but even if I don't, it will be great to hear feedback on the other mask.

Re: Am i supposed to GAIN weight on cpap or lose it?
I've resurrected this thread because I think it is something a few, if not a lot, of us deal with. I was really hoping that xpap would help me lose weight, but, alas, it has not. Since I started therapy mid January I have gained 15 pounds. I eat exactly the same way and exercise the same amount, if ...

Re: Any human size FFmasks?
I use the Quattro and I actually really like it. I have a couple of nasal masks but much more prefer the Quattro. At first it seemed strange that I could feel air on my face when I inhaled, but now I really like it.

Re: Taping my mouth with a FFM!!!
My first response would have been to say you have the wrong size mask, but you say that when you tape your mouth that the mask stays put. Hmm. Strange. Maybe you are opening and closing your mouth while sleeping and the movement is causing the mask to slip down. If the mask is working otherwise, mea...

Re: My first night
Congratulations on your first night of cpap! I think your mask should only be as tight as is necessary to prevent leaks. I try to keep mine as loose as I can before leaks start. I wear a full face mask and find that when sleeping on my side I can keep the mask looser than when I'm on my back. I have...

Re: Different pressures for different types of masks?
I'm not talking about your pressure settings. I'm not sure, but believe with the ResMed S8 Elite II you can go into the settings menu (press down and hold for 3 seconds the right and left buttons) and change your mask type. I'm saying this just off the top of my head, as I'm at work and can't see th...

Do you change the settings on your machine to reflect the different masks?
