I never saw this one coming.

Ive been incredibly compliant except for the nights when I take the mask off in my sleep. I cant help that one. My husband left for the races in Bristol yesterday morning. Peace and quiet! I love it! I went to bed about 11, put my mask on and realized that I couldn't hear EVERYTHING that was going o...

Re: Have I Taken "Stupid" to A New High?

Such a familiar tale! My doc said the same thing, the better machine is not medically necessary. I originally had (and still have) the M series Plus. Im a wimp so rather than being confrontational I bought a used Pro, the software and card and I love it. I wish, as so many others have said, that I h...

Re: One step forward..you know the rest

Many/most of us did that in the first few months of our therapy. Welcome to the club! The trick now is to get out of the habit. It may only happen a couple of times (or a few) before you start catching yourself doing it. If it really gets bad, you could try wearing some tube socks on your hands to ...

One step forward..you know the rest

Ive kicked my Apnea in the butt, sleeping 8-10 hours a night, mastered the little torture device called a mask, got all puffed up and smug. For whatever reason, at this late date (3 mos into CPAP) Im taking my mask off during the night while Im asleep. The night before last I did it and thought it w...

Re: Still so tired

Its a comfort that Im not alone but I feel bad for everyone else too. I had Thyroid and other blood tests before CPAP and also the o2 study at home. I think the oxygen test with CPAP is a good idea and Ill mention it to my Doc. I was also considering asking her for another sleep study. I do use the ...

Re: Off topic ( Smoking )

It finally occurred to me that I was making too big a deal out of it. If you think its gonna be a big horrible experience then it will be. I smoked my last 2 cigarettes one afternoon and that was the end of it. I didnt set a date, didnt go to quitting websites (they made me want a smoke) and it wasn...

I do too. In fact some times I get under there just to get warm and end up falling asleep.

Still so tired

Ive mastered the art of the CPAP. I sleep 7-8 hrs a night straight, my numbers are great, and it just seems that every day I get more tired. I have to drag myself out of bed in the morning and I drag all day. Yawn, yawn, yawn. Its much worse than before CPAP. I have slept 10 hours straight on CPAP a...

Re: switching to a full face mask

I tried the FP 431 and it worked really well UNTIL I woke up with a sore face. It actually left a bruise on my left cheekbone. Granted, I bruise easily but regardless the 431 was painful. I use the Ultra Mirage and like it. I have a couple here I want to try but when it gets to be bedtime I cant tea...
