Re: CPAP in the movies or on tv?
Watching the Sarah Connor Chronicles, just showed a woman wearing a Comfortgel nasal mask.... Too bad they're in a crazy hospital, I'm not sure whether or not this promotes a positive image of CPAP use. Actually, for this one, she's in a sleep clinic....not like any sleep clinic I have visited... A...

Re: Mirage II Nasal Mask
I use the Mirage Micro, it's not exactly the same but with mine I can solve any leak issues by simply adjusting the straps and twisting the knob so it's higher up off my lip.

Re: First night complete on M Series and Mirage Micro
I really like the Micro, I barely notice it at all. Any problems I've had with it moving around I've been able to fix by adjusting the headstraps and twisting the knob up off my lip.

Re: Just had my first sleep study!
The Ambien didn't do anything for me either, and the equipment they used was just plain terrible. Being able to sleep in your own bed with your own equipment will make it a whole lot easier.

Frequent wake-up
I've been on CPAP for a couple weeks now. So far I'd say it's going swimmingly, thankfully my providers were kind enough to give me good equipment and a mask that feels nonpresent. However, even though I'm sleeping through the night I keep waking up every hour and a half or so, sometimes with a real...

Re: Definitely Newbie
I never realized how good my student health insurance was until reading this thread. I paid $15 for the doctors visits and my machine is 90% covered.

Re: Less than helpful responses
I put off going to the doctor for a diagnosis for a few years when I knew what I had could only be sleep apnea, but I figured I'm still young and the worst that was going on was I would be a little tired. Over the past few months my naps became uncontrollable and I had no energy to do anything, but ...

It's also in the middle of winter, having less sunlight and a lot of cold makes me not want to wake up even after starting CPAP.

Re: New user needs advice
Ya think? Ever wonder why the doc doesn't let YOU choose which medicine you need? Actually in a lot of cases the doctor does let the patient choose, often when the patient doesn't need it. We're one of only two countries in the world (the other being New Zealand) that allows pharmaceutical companie...

Re: postsecret
I agree, people generally use PostSecret to say things they can't find a way to say in person or to get things off their chest, I don't think he's trying to do subtle 2x4 therapy at all.carbonman wrote: I went back and looked long and hard again....and....
