Re: ResMed S9 heated hose shenanigans
I have never had any issue with the S9 blowing water into the slimline tubing. You need to explain specifically and exactly what you are doing I think I have; respectfully, I think you may have missed some of the details in reading the thread. This issue does not involve the slimline tubing. The $5...

Re: CPAP CAUSING ACID REFLUX
Glad to hear that tilting the bed worked as well for you as it did for me, perhaps even better. Also, you kick ass for using the phrase "mentat moment".

Re: Canadians buy U.S. health care
And leave the Arizona desert full of decapitated bodies, which Canadians and Mexicans and other foreigners like to do, as everyone knows.

Re: thoughts on need for oximeter
I'd be inclined to agree with the people proposing that you get hold of one for safety's sake. Your oxygen level is only down to 93% now - for some reason, maybe unrelated to apnea, etc. - but what about in the future? Isn't it something you'd want to track regularly anyways? The oximeter I have is ...

Re: CPAP CAUSING ACID REFLUX
Yeah, there are lots of prettier options I could've used if I was more inclined towards tastefulness. I have a couple of candle holders that are solid glass blocks with holes for the candles that I had considered using but I decided that I wanted to keep them for candles.

Re: Canadians buy U.S. health care
Ha, that's awesome. It's just like people from the U.S. going to Mexico for medical care or people from all over the world going to India for medical care, because they can do it cheaper and just as well. I like the idea of these Canadian companies that help people get faster medical service if they...

Re: CPAP CAUSING ACID REFLUX
I started having this problem a few months ago all of a sudden. My physician said that it was a combination of aerophagia and my diabetes (and eating too late before bed, a snack that I was usually washing down with a glass of lemonade.) He told me to raise the head of my bed to create a slight angl...

Re: ResMed S9 heated hose shenanigans
Well, I just checked to be sure and if I try to start the machine with the humidifier lid unlatched I get an error message that says "Attention: H5i lid open, please close flip lid and press any key." Maybe I lucked out and got an especially sensitive sensor, or maybe because my pressure setting is ...

Re: ResMed S9 heated hose shenanigans
Thanks for the responses! @avi123 - My machine actually refuses to turn on if the humidifier cover isn't latched properly, so I don't think it's that problem. The problem only happens if I fill the water up to the exact top of the indicated water level in the reservoir, and only then for a fairly br...

ResMed S9 heated hose shenanigans
Didn't see a thread about this in a quick search, my apologies if it's already been posted about. When I got my ResMed S9 machine within the last year the salesman gushed about the heated hose "climate tube" feature. It seemed like a weird feature to me because I've never had a problem it would solv...

Re: Poll: Age/Cpap Users
For a while when I visited her I would peek into a room just down the hall. There was a tiny, slim, elderly lady, always in a nice dress and always lying on the bed on her side. She was always snoring heavily and struggling to breathe. After about a month she passed away. I wonder if she was in the...

Re: Anyone tried the CMS-P yet? Or bought from Contec?
I decided to get a pulse oximeter and found this thread in the course of Googling. Based upon late4work's post I bought the CMS-P, also on eBay from medonline888, and I concur with everything he said about it.
