Re: What Do You Know About ResMed VPAP III?
Thanx dsm, Rested Gal & Slinky. I think I'll buy it. Note to Slinky, I know my REMstar Plus M Series only supplies "hours" data. I'm just learning about the machines that use the software. I've only been using CPAP since last June. The doc said my last sleep study in November was great. He increased...

My wife is in the hospital with a lung infection. She has COPD and is on 2 l/m of oxygen 27/7 at home. Late this afternoon her pulmonary doctor examined her. She just called me and said he's going to put her on a CPAP machine-- starting tonight. She didn't have any other details. Any idea why this t...

Re: CPAP Induced Aerophagia Causes Elevated Blood Glucose Levels
I'm diabetic and have been using CPAP since last June. I take Lantus (24 hour insulin). One month after I started using CPAP, I cut my insulin from 110 units/day to 55 units/day-- and my blood sugars have been lower and much more stable.

Re: laughing stock of the hospital
I'm diabetic too and was in the our "small" community hospital for a week last summer. Their meun was great-- every item had a list of carbs and a diabetic exchange. Had plenty of diet soda in stock. They took my blood sugar before and two hours after every meal or snack. Nevertheless, I brought my ...

Why Do I Want Data from my CPAP Machine?
I've been using CPAP since last June. I love my CPAP since I've been using, I feel like $1 million. I had one initial sleep study and a second in November. My machine is a REMStar Plus "M" series with a SmartCard. A few days ago I posted a question about the SmartCard and everyone basically agreed i...

Re: Getting an ID bracelet, what to put on it?
I don't wear a bracelet-- I wear a "dog tag" instead. It's stainless steel and engraved on both sides it was really cheap to make. Here's the info on the tag: Name, address, phone, DOB, Diabetic, High BP, Lens implant, med list in wallet, doctors phone number.
