Re: Encore Pro 2.4
Oh and if anyone tries to install encore pro and gets a error like "system must be rebooted before installation can continue". The system doesn't have to be restarted... some programs when they are installed leave junk in the registry and don't delete it after their installers have ran... LOGITECH ...

Re: DME erased my EncorePro card?
At least it was your DME, in my case I was being an idiot that day and installed a new version of the software and forgot to tell it not to erase. Now I get to explain to the doc when they see no compliance data.

Re: Strange request: Radio Interference?
It would not affect FM radio, at least not nearly to the levels of impact that it has on AM or Short Wave radio. And I am not "on" the radio, I am listening to it. It is on a sleep timer while I fall asleep, so if I shut off or unplug my unit I will not have it while I sleep which is not an option. ...

Strange request: Radio Interference?
I know this will be a strange request, but I am an avid shortwave and/or AM radio listener at night, as it takes me a bit before I fall asleep. Since getting my CPAP, a Responics M-Series Auto, it has put a severe cramp in my radio listening because the unit generates so much radio frequency interfe...

Re: Perscriptions for CPAP Machines?
AHOWEVER, thedean, not everyone has the insurance, the money or the access to a decent sleep lab, decent sleep doctor and decent local DME supplier. Under those conditions other alternatives have to be considered and we do what we have to do as best we can. Amen to that!! See my post over on the BC...

Re: Insurance company taken for a ride? BCBSIL
I received my EOBs. . . More to come, but so far: $103 for initial doctor visit, $80 allowed. $294 for initial sleep-lab doc visit, $194 allowed. $149 for "emergency medical visit" in conjunction with the above appointment. $149 allowed. (now that one has me scratching my head.....) $3,100 for a one...

Re: Insurance company taken for a ride? BCBSIL
And this is magnified in every transaction that happens in the medical realm, I'm sure... Maddening. Yes, we need health care reform here in the USA, but it must be a reform of what passes for health care in administration and insurance company policies, not simply finding a means to pay the existin...

Re: Self adjusting titration levels?
Or sleeping on your back? No ramp. If I recall the phone conversation where I got a blip-view of my study results (again, still nothing in my hand to reference) My apnea count was highest on my right side and least on my left side, somewhere in the middle on my back. I could have been on my back or...

Re: Perscriptions for CPAP Machines?
Well, keep in mind that too high a pressure can cause central apneas and too high a leak can cause a high reported pressure. And someone w/an undisclosed lung problem such as blebs could be harmed by CPAP pressure, especially the higher pressures. And there are those few w/some form of inner ear pr...

Re: Self adjusting titration levels?
What was your pressure when you were snoring? What are the machine settings? Be sure to write them ALL down before making ANY changes. My pressure is 9.0 flat constant. I haven't looked at the hidden settings, wanted to know where I'd stand if I touched them before I even tried. Thanks for the note...

Re: help me pursuade Dr/DME trade Elite to Auto
I'm a newbie, so forgive me if this is a stupid question, but... I thought that all you needed to get the equipment was a letter of "Medical Necessity", not strictly a prescription for a particular machine spelled out. Sure, the doctor can recommend one, but do they really lock you into one and only...

Self adjusting titration levels?
Hi, Just posted a rant about my insurance earlier, but now I'm looking the actual CPAP results from the software dump, and I'm not sure I'm happy about those either. I was titrated and sent home with a pressure level of 9. I don't have the reports from my study (they have not provided them, I am goi...

Insurance company taken for a ride? BCBSIL
Hi All, Three weeks or so into this, and finally starting to see some of the financial numbers come in. It seems like the insurance company is being taken for a ride, and me right along with them. I have a friend who received his CPAP machine just about a year ago, and he hasn't been able to get a c...

Newbie: Hi, and Q on understanding Encore Reports
Hi All! Well, I'm just starting week number three with my new CPAP treatment. I received a Respironics APAP Auto unit, and the card reader I had ordered from Hong Kong just arrived today. I am looking at the report data generated by the Encore Pro software as well as the EncoreProAnalyzer software. ...
