been a while....

Until recently, hadn't needed much help. 5 years of good sleep since beginning therapy. THEN heart attack and double bypass in Dec. all is well in that area. doing very well as a matter of fact. Here's my dilemma. My cardiologist insisted on a new sleep study. It had been 5 years, so it made sense. ...

Any Danger

I am wondering......My brother-in-law is an obvious sleep apnea sufferer. He is self-employed and the current economic situation prohibits him from taking a sleep study. I have an extra machine that is apap, c-flex. I have given him the machine to try, with in-depth instructions. Are there any real ...

Re: severe neck & upper back problems

I just read your "surgery" post, and am now convinced your neck and back pain is being caused by stress and not the mask.

Re: severe neck & upper back problems

Could there be stress coming from something that has changed? Mask? Life? Machine? Life?
for some reason, if it is a new situation, it sounds stress related.

Re: New SWIFT FX--ANYONE using it yet?

Wow--I am surprisded that you are having problems with Apria. I have Cigna and they have a Cigna number that I call that I talk to Apria directly and never have had a problem! They always send me extra stuff too like filters, hoses, an extra humidifier container --they are VERY good. NEVER had a pr...

Re: Transition M Series Pro to PR System One - Insight?

Well, now I'm sorry I didn't search topics further:( sorry! ANYYYWHOOOOO.....I've just made the same switch this week, and the rainout solution has been astounding to me....as for difference in sleep, haven't noticed.....but that could be that I've been working graveyard shift at the same time(yeah,...

Re: Anyone currently using an Aussie heated hose?

Packer,
Curious, as I just started with PR System one humidifier(see separate thread), and am amazed at the LACK of rainout with this new system. You find the need to keep the heated hose still?
Thanks.

New machine.

Hi all. Don't post much, as I seem to have a relatively uneventful therapy goin' on, but I thought I would share my experience with a machine switch, and I apologize in advance if it's already been a subject. I have been on the hose for 4 years. I have had 1 autopap the whole time. Remstar auto with...

Re: HOW DO YOU WEAR YOUR SWIFT LT?

I started with the hose down...it was OK, but noticed leaks on restless nights. I've moved the hose to behind, and over the top of our headboard, and after 1 night, I had to try it hooked to the top of the gear.(something about strangulation that didn't appeal to me!LOL. A little more rainout this w...

Re: Can u help me get over my embarassment?

I agree with most of the respondents....what a GREAT chance to teach....the young, and not so! Might wanna bring your mask to the meeting to explain? I would surely look for a chance to show it to the girls b4 the trip, just to familiarize them.
Don't be embarrassed.
Have a great time.

Re: What does it take to get a good night's sleep?

September will be 4 years on the hose for me. I've been extremely fortunate to have had relatively uneventful therapy! I tested with a FFM, and hated it! I dreaded going to get this contraption. My DME showed me the nasal pillows, and I haven't snored back! I know they're not for everyone, but I wil...
