Check everywhere for any given item.

I just got replacement nasal pillows for a Swift LT mask. $32.00 CAN at the local Canadian DME that sold me my Elite II. $29.95 US on cpap.com.

Spike in leak rate at end of detailed data?

The ResScan software and card reader arrived this morning. I haven't yet gone through the manual in full, but I did notice something curious in what the software is showing me from the last three nights. In the detailed graphs, there is always a spike in leak rate (much higher than any real leak) at...

The Escape has EPR also. The main reason to go with the Elite is data collection. The only other difference I've noticed is that the Elite has a "humidifier warmup" option.

Re: If you were me, would you get card reader+software?

MoneyGal: I have numbers (HI, etc.) as low as yours. I am buying the card reader and software for peace of mind, because I know that if the numbers go wonky for any reason, I can get more information. I could have used it during my trial period (during which I had an Escape, so even less information...

Re: ResMed Elite II Clinician's Manual?

I was told when i first walked in a week ago I was getting a resmed tango and that it was close to being a top of the line CPAP after doing some reading on here and posting a question, I found out the tango is more or less a hair dryer with a hose and mask. That made me laugh. But then I sobered up...

No, just a silly pun. "Tyro" as in newbie, and "PITA" as in... well, you can figure that out.

Re: using swift LT with a narrow face?

I have a narrow face and jaw (not extremely so, but I had to have teeth removed) and the small curved tabs at the front of the Swift LT mask do not touch my face at all times. One does when I lie on my side but the other does not. I don't think this is a problem as long as it is comfortable and does...

Re: S8 Autoset II Still pushing air when off

Some of the S8 units blow air gently for about an hour to dry out the hose. The Escape I used for my trial did not, but the Elite II I have now does.

Re: ResMed Elite II Clinician's Manual?

tyropita, are you talking about being able to change settings? I would like a copy, they turned off my EPR setting, how crazy is that? PM me your e-mail address and I'll return the favour I was done, namely I'll e-mail you a copy of the manual. You can find out how to access the clinician's menu by...

Re: ResMed Elite II Clinician's Manual?

Just to follow up on this: at the end of the four-week trial period, I took the loaner Escape and the loaner Swift LT mask back to the DME and received a brand-new Elite II and brand-new Swift LT mask. I did not get the clinician's manual, but I did get a data card (I have ordered the stuff I need t...

Re: OT - Economy and jobs data

I'll admit the constant reports of layoffs are very scary but I'd really like to see a comparison with 1974! Good call, Mindy. 1974 was worse, with quarterly job losses about twice that of the most recent report. http://www.economist.com/theworldin/displayStory.cfm?story_id=12574168&d=2009 1980 and...

Re: Intro from newbie in Canada

The Ontario Government will pay $780 under the Assistive Devices Program. If you have an Extended Health Care Plan they MAY pay some or all of the rest of the cost. If you don't have that you will pay all of the difference yourself. THE PROVDER SHOULD DO ALL THE NECESSARY paperwork and you should g...

Re: OT: Obama's Presidential Inaugural Address

Aww come on Wulf, there's already been change on the first day!!!! They changed the amount spent on the Inag from 42 million to 150 million!!! The lower figure cited for Bush does not include the cost of security, and the higher figure is unsubstantiated. The cost of Obama's inauguration, counting ...
