Re: Cleaning CPAP Equipment

Re: S8 Autoset II keeps shutting down/restarting
Funny you should mention it. My unit has shut off on me three times but I can always hit the restart button and then I don't have further problems that nihjt. It usually occurs at the end of the settling time.

Re: Cleaning CPAP Equipment
As far as water in the humidifier my book says water. It does not specify tap or distilled. My husband who is a clinical engineer who maintains and reairs hospital equipment. Ventilators and Bipap units included says that tap water is fine. The only part that is getting into the air is the water its...

Re: Call For Feedback: Puresleep.com Dental Device
If you read their add it says NOT TO TREAT SLEEP APNEA.
I'm afraid people might think it was a substitution for their machines.
Its not its an attempt to keep the airway open to prevent snoring not apnea.
I say avoid it.

Re: Humidifier Leaking- Rescan
Lookslike I have a defective unit. If I fill mine even an inch it flows water out the bottom. I'll be calling my DME on Monday to get a replacement.

Humidifier Leaking- Rescan
I have the Rescan 8 autoset with humidifier. After taking it apart the first time to clean the reservoir I have had problems with it leaking when I fill it. I always place it in my machine then pour in the water and it starts flowing out the two holes in the bottom. I need to snap the lid down quick...

Re: Poll: Age/Cpap Users
The idea of obstructive sleep apnea is not new to the medical community. What is changing is the profile of the patient disgnosed with sleep apnea today. I believe alot of the people who had sleep apnea are not in the nursing homes because the health complications caused an early death. I had no ide...

Re: On APAP, bumping up lower pressure seems to bump up pressure
My main concern is the increase in pressure. Is that normal? Would the pressure rise even more if I raise the lower range higher? I have been having the same results. Initially I was set at a straight 10. I couldn't tolerate it related to all the air I would ingest, so I set a range. I started at 6...

Re: Excessive Condensation
It's good to see the suggestions out there for this problem. I was beginning to feel as a newbie I was destined to waking up with a cold wet nose. I know it means your dog is healthy but makes cuddling in the morning strained. Will be looking into the hose covers as well. Does the heater hose work w...

Re: Crazy price for ResScan 3.73 and reader
I have just started with the ResMed s 8 Autoset II series. We are looking at getting the ability to pritn our own reports at home. Do I need a card reader and the software? Is the software ever available other than for the $190.00 from the company? Will my computer card reader work or do I need a sp...
