I think folks just have a tendency to post when they need help, not when they don't The very first night my dh used the CPAP (we got good advice, too and bought the Remstar Auto), I kept checking to see if he was dead - I had *never* in twenty years of marriage seen him sleep quietly and peacefully ...

Actually, UPS does have Saturday delivery if you pay extra. I ordered the Remstar Auto from cpap.com (actually billmyinsurance.com) on Friday morning, by 4pm the paperwork was complete (they had to get my doctor to sign for an auto) and by 10am the next morning (Saturday) it was on my doorstep - and...

After reading this forum for a few weeks, my dh was prescribed CPAP at 9cm. I wanted dh to have an auto, so I checked our insurance company's policy, which was APAP only if CPAP doesn't work. Local DME's were incredulous that we'd want an auto and no help at all. I called billmyinsurance.com and tol...

Smart Cards from Two Factors - Need Help!
I just tried to order the extra smart cards from Two Factors that I've heard mentioned on this forum (5/$25). Two Factors responded that they are not suitable for this application. I'd like to have an extra since the card we have gets a lot of use and I'm not willing to miss even a day of the data H...

Thanks to you!
Johnny, I didn't think I could feel any better about buying from y'all - the forum saved us from making so many mistakes, your staff was fantastic in helping us, you got the apap to us in a matter of hours - but, you did it! I feel even better about our purchase. Dh is a former AF officer and I'm de...

From a CPAP User's Wife
I am married to a CPAP user and I'll tell you what I think about how he looks with it on - He looks *alive*! I can't tell you how thankful I am not to have to reach out and touch him to get him to start breathing again or to have that sick feeling as I hear him stop snoring while I'm in the bathroom...

Get the APAP!
Bob, The really neat thing about the APAP is that it gives you just what you need. My husband was titrated at 9cm. At that pressure at the sleep lab, he had 0 AHI. However, we bought an APAP and the software to monitor it. I have been very interested to see that he spends the vast majority of the ni...

Online is Great!
My husband just had a sleep study -- AHI=58.9, O2 sat was 65%! I wanted to get him help urgently, so as soon as the sleep study came back, I talked to our local DMEs who were incredibly ignorant and unhelpful. They couldn't even tell me what kind of mask they would give him! I bought from billmyinsu...

Thanks!
Bill,
Thanks so much! I couldn't figure this out. I'll make sure to download often enough.
It's kind of weird it holds only 6 days of detail data. I would much prefer 7 days so I could download on some kind of schedule.
Thanks again! This is a great spot to get real answers.

How to get My Encore to display all data
My dh has had his Remstar Auto since 2/11. We just got the smart card reader today and I downloaded the data into Encore Pro 1.5. I can see the data from 2/11 to today 2/24 in their reports, but when I go to My Encore, I can only access data from 2/18 to today. I saw where someone recommended settin...

Thanks for the encouragement, Jerry! Your stories on cpaptalk helped me a lot in figuring out what to buy and knowing we wanted something we could use software with! Re: wearing the cpap, I have no mercy at all I told my dh that if he didn't wear the cpap, I'd put it on him after he went to sleep! H...

First Night... Feel Great!
But it's my husband that got the CPAP! I hadn't realized how poorly I was sleeping listening for his apneas so I could shake him and trying to sleep through the snoring when he was breathing. He didn't snore at all last night and I just rejoiced to see him sleeping peacefully without gasping and str...
