Re: Newbie - which auto CPAP machine?!
There are several threads on this. There are some advantages to the PRS1 550: The hose attaches on the top and swivels, on the S9 it comes out the back and has to do a sharp 90 deg turn where hoses tend to fail. Not a deal breaker but something to consider. PRS1 has separate on and off settings for...

Re: Just diagnosed with sleep apnea...
Learn as much as you can about all the available machines out there. Tell the doctor which machine YOU want, and what mask YOU want. The doc is there to tell you the severity , the suggested titration values that kept your airway open, and whether you showed a need for CPAP or BIPAP. This is not a d...

Re: First Night back on CPAP in 6 months
I have another question. I am trying to get rid of the new machine smell and nothing seems to work? Also I turn it on for a couple mins, and then turn it off, It still is blowing air, very very lightly but still blowing air. Does your do this? Resmed with the humidifier attached do indeed continue ...

Re: Floor or table?
I keep my unit on the floor. No real worries about dust as the filter will take care of any little "bunnies" that roll on by. Besides I like the cooler air of that level which may sound odd but is indeed true. I only started having an issue with taking off my mask and turning off my machine AFTER I ...

Re: Understanding LCD readout from s8 auto
Make sure you have the LEAK DETECTION ALARM : ON so that the little bugger will wake you up in case of the mask slipping and leaking excessively. That will help to keep your numbers good as well as you! You can access that feature through the clinicians menu.

Re: How can anyone trust the DME ppl!? ranting a bit
Thanks to places like this board and a few other online sleep apnea forums I knew the few local DME's that I called in the beginning weren't prepared for someone that knew what they were talking about. Homelink wanted a $1400 rental for the S8 Autoset II because Aetna refuses to purchase it. Told th...

Re: ResScan loaner?
Wulfman, I fully agree with your comments. However, I have bought a new laptop with Vista loaded on it and didn't want to format the hard drive and install the XP which of course can be an option. Any way, I am up and running with the ResScan 3.7. Thanks, DR Just because you have a new laptop with ...

If the trial version offer still stands I could use ti as well. Vista strikes again!
