Was your swift cleaned between uses? Did you say you used it once with the KY? Hi Tom. The Swift I was "fit" with was sort of a travelling sample. The swift I used last night was my own, never used by anyone but me. Two different Swifts. Same reaction. With the trying on of the travelling sample th...

It was like my head opened up and clear fluid was draining - it was definitely an allergic reaction to something. It lasted almost all day. The only variable I could see was the KY. I haven't used the Swift or the KY since and haven't had the problem since. That's exactly what happened to me this m...

Re: Breeze

I love my activa. I was up for a new mask and got a breeze to have something to change to. A friend had a swift and she let me borrow it because she could not use it. I hated it! I never could get it to work. But there are a lot of posters who it works great for and the just love it. As far as your...

My DME switched me from the Activa to the Swift. My main complaint with the Activa had been that the right fit when falling asleep--comfortable and leak-free--would cease to be the right fit at some point in the night, following which I'd be waking up every fifteen minutes in a vain attempt to "get ...

Over the past couple years I've tried dozens of different masks, and if you're still collecting opinions, I would suggest the Breeze. I find it to be much more stable than the Aura and for me it is leak-free. It doesn't hurt in the morning. I am still collecting opinions, so thank you. Here's an in...

Aura/Headrest...#1 IMHO. Thanks, Sleepless. One question. I've now looked at the pictures of the Aura/Headrest at cpap.com. With that hose running straight down the back of your head, it seems like it would impossible to rest your head comfortably on your pillow if you sleep facing straight up. Pro...

Wednesday AM... Okay, another miserable night with the Activa. Once again, fell asleep comfortably, with the mask leak-free and secure. Once again, spent the second half of the night waking up every fifteen minutes because the mask was leaking. Here's my question: I know there are a lot of masks, an...

But not only do the forehead straps have to be loose, most importantly the bottom straps do as well, and I mean REALLY LOOSE. So, loose that the mask can full inflate. Pull the end of the mask out as far as it will go, that is where your straps should be adjusted to. If you tighten it, it WILL leak...

Activa is the only mask I've ever known, but "ever" in my case is 10 days. (I'm a newbie.) Here's my basic question: at what point (how many days of trying) do I "give up" and come to the conclusion that I should try another mask, versus continuing to try to get used to the Activa? I've read some of...

And the EVIL DME... New to CPAP and new to this site. But I've seen "DME" mentioned on a few threads here. What's it stand for? Thanks. edited to add: Never mind. I just saw the CPAPopedia link at the bottom of my own post, clicked on it, and found out! Great feature. _________________ CPAPopedia K...

Hi everyone. I'm just getting started in the world of cpaps. Glad to have discovered this forum. For two weeks I've been using the Activa mask. Reading posts here, and looking at an Activa fitting guide that I found on ResMed's site, it looks like the "cushions" are supposed to visibly inflate when ...
