Used masks
I have a few used masks. (Resmed Optilife, Resmed Mirage Quatro, Respironics Comfort Gel, Resmed Swift LT) Is there anything I can do with them? I hate to just throw them away when someone could get some use out of them.

Re: Why a stand alone humidifier
Hey Steve, I have used a Respironics M Series (plus, not pro) and am now in the Resmed S8 II Elite. I much prefer the Resmed to the Respironics. It's easier to breathe and quieter, as well. As for the humidifier, I, too, was looking at the HC150. In the end, I opted for the H4i integrated humidifier...

Really high numbers in the middle of the night
Last night I had trouble getting to sleep and I laid in bed wide awake for about two hours. While I was laying there I decided to check my data and my AHI was really high. In the mornings I'm usually around 4 or 5. When I check it in the middle of the night it was around 30! When I did wake up this ...

Re: Please help picking my 1st cpap machine!!
I used a Respironics M Series for a couple of weeks then switched to a Resmed S8 II Elite. I definitely like the Resmed better. It is so easy to use and the EPR on the Resmed feels much better to me than the C-Flex on the Respironics did. The Resmed has a better integrated humidifier and everything ...

Re: Resmed S8 Elite vs Respironics M Series RemStar Pro
You make a good point, Slinky, about travel. I do travel, but air travel is only about once or twice a year. While it is a factor to me, it is a small one.
How well does the ambient tracking work on the HC150? That's the main reason I want to get it.

Re: Resmed S8 Elite vs Respironics M Series RemStar Pro
So....I'm now on my fourth night with my new S8 Elite, and I LOVE it! It is SO quiet. I actually had a Respironics M Series for five weeks but had to turn it back in because of switching insurance. And the S8 is so much quieter. The EPR is a lot better than the C-Flex on the Respironics, too. And, I...

Re: Resmed S8 Elite vs Respironics M Series RemStar Pro
Here is my update. I decided to go with the Resmed. I'm thinking I will like the way it shows the AI and HI separately. (I don't have the money to shell out for the card reader and software for either of the machines.) That meant that I had to go with Apria, which I was not too excited about. I went...

Resmed S8 Elite vs Respironics M Series RemStar Pro
I should be seeing my DME next week to get my CPAP and I would like your "professional" opinion about which machine to get: the Resmed S8 Elite (NOT the S8 II) or the Respironics M Series Remstar Pro. I have two DME's in my area that my insurance is contracted with: Apria and Sleepmed. I have alread...
