Re: THE GREAT PILLOW EXCHANGE

I have Swift LT Small and Medium pillows. I need Swift LT (or Swift LT for Her) XSmall pillows.

Love the idea of Pillow exchanges - always up for a trade!

Swift LT (or LT for Her) XSm Pillows Wanted

Hello, I need Swift LT XSm pillows (Swift LT for Her comes with XSm, SM, and Med). I have new, never used Sm and Med pillows to trade. I have lost out on 3 at auction and since they are not very plentiful, hard to come across, I am in need. They are very expensive replacement parts to buy with expen...

Re: Breeze vs Mirage "study"

Well written response. I tend to rely somewhat on these "studies" but you have a VERY valid point. Mask fit is extremely personal and over time, we all will get used ot a certain mask and it will become what we are used to and what we are familiar with. Your suggestion is very vaild. I do appreciate...

Card Reader: USB vs. PCMCIA

I am a stuggling newbie, trying hard to figure all this out and make CPAP work for me. My question is regarding Encore Viewer (or Pro if it is available anywhere to non-doctors/DMEs). I am hoping a computer savy person (with a lot of patience for stupid questions) will help me. I realize that for an...

Mask Exchange Policies

I gather that when looking for a DME company to use, I should look for one with a "lenient or liberal mask exchange policy" since many users go through several masks prior to finding a "keeper". I also understand that Respironics and Resmed (and likely other manufacturers) will accept masks from DME...

Re: LED data display

Slinky,

When you talk about the 95th percentile pressure, etc. Is this on an auto CPAP machine that uses a range of pressures?

(Please forgive me if this is too stupid a question to post - I am just now learning all this stuff and trying to get up to speed).

Thanks

Re: DISCUSSION ON HIGH VB% on Encore Analyzer

The "engineer" remark hit below the belt. Yeah, I am an engineer, so I am supposed to have the capacity and education to look at data and use it for a useful purpose. But what I really am is a sick person (OSA patient) who is trying to make this therapy work (more than half of us cannot make it work...

LED data display

Can anyone help me figure out which xPAP machines have reasonable LED data capabilities. I understand that what is most helpful is using software to capture helpful data (leakage, AHI, non-responsive events, and other helpful data I don't even know about yet) and I plan to purchase out of pocket the...

Re: www.cpap-supply.com

Website says http://www.cpap-supply.com accepts insurance and Medicare and cpap.com does not.

I saw a reference to it (and link) on an earlier post on this board and took a look at their website, was wondering if anyone has had any experience wiht it. Just wondering.

Re: SmartCards - Are all Fully Data Capable?

Jules, It is remarkable how you always seem to be able to put your hands on the thread or the manufacturers info or whatever!!! The annoying thing is that cpapforseniors.com and billmyinsurance.com both seem to be fully functioning just no answers to email and no phone # to call. It would be nice if...

Re: SmartCards - Are all Fully Data Capable?

Wow! Take one nap and look what I miss... (yeah, still napping since I haven't actually started CPAP yet). I have been working on this for over 2 months now - all the dr. appts, sleep tests, wait for results, wait for doc to read, wait for prescription, nothing like waiting for DMEs. I am absolutely...

Re: SmartCards - Are all Fully Data Capable?

What I don't understand is why is there resistance to "letting" the end user make adjustments to their own CPAP equipment? You are certainly far more educated, and must likely more capable, than any of the techs I have come across! You do have a point that it is possible to do your own titration on ...

Re: SmartCards - Are all Fully Data Capable?

I absolutely will track data - it seems the only reasonable way to keep up with my therapy and make adjustments as needed to make it work as well as possible (and I am an engineer and nerd at heart so it would be hard for me not to). It doesn't seem realistic (or cost effective, or even possible) to...
